We found this restaurant by chance. There was a warm welcome and we were shown to a cosy table. The menu was excellent as was the wine list. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful. The food was well-cooked and well-presented. I had reindeer wrapped in bacon and this was beautiful and succulent - unlike some of the reindeer meals I have had. This was one of the best meals we have had. Food and wine in Sweden is more expensive than in the UK and this was reflected in the bill at this restaurant. Nevertheless, we can strongly recommend Cook's Krog

I love the lunch buffet, it literally has everything as Chinese, Italian, Indian, Swedish food etc. Unfortunately there's no buffet in the evenings. It's a very family friendly restaurant. You can sit on the balcony during the summer and look at the north harbour in Luleå!

We are a modern bistro with a northern touch. Here we interpret the northern culinary traditions to our own idea in contrast meetings between rustic innovation & classic finesse. Food that inspires, surprises and tastes really good. Here you can enjoy a good lunch or a tasty three-course dinner. LUNCH - 11.30 to 13.30 / Monday to Friday DINNER - 17:00 to 22:00 / Monday to Thursday DINNER - 16:00 to 22:30 / Friday to Saturday
We had an excellent evening meal. The menu is small which allows each dish to be well thought through. No-one in our party of eight complained about the food. Our waitress was excellent and the surrounding modern yet comfortable. If I am ever back in Lulea I will ray here again.

I went midweek and this place was extremely busy. I decided to visit on the basis of trip adviser reviews and wasn't disappointed. Firstly, I liked the look of the restaurant which is modern and clean and the buzzing atmosphere mean that there was plenty for a solo diner to watch. The staff were very helpful-making a space for me at a table and carefully explaining the dishes and even the provenance of the Elk in the main course (locally shot not farmed I recall). Each dish was, well, wonderful. I had a sort of ravioli stuffed with pork belly to start which was absolutely lovely-very intense flavours. For mains, I went for the Elk and reindeer, which again was wonderful and the best dish of my trip. This place is a must visit on a trip.

This is a restaurant adjacent to the skybar at Clarion Hotel. I suspect that this Skybar/Restaurant is one of the most popular places to be at a weekend. Booking is certainly necessary.
Service sometimes a bit slow and probably related to a fully booked restaurant. Food very nice and nothing to remark about. This is a restaurant that suits most people including business dinner, and romantic couples. Maybe not so good for very young children.

I very much liked Lulea but it has very few places to drink decent beer. This is the sole stand out place I think. I never went to Pitchers, though I did walk into and very quickly out of Allstar. So, during my stay this became the staple. It was the third BA I visited on the trip (the others being in Stockholm and Falun) and was definitely the least fave. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but it didn't have the same cosy atmosphere as the others. The beer is the same I think and mostly way too strong for me. English beers (this is a sort of English themed pub) are much more expensive that local brews. Staff are friendly which is good. Definitely a strong recommendation if you fancy a beer in Lulea. But my goodness, I think they need more places like this. I didn't eat at this one so can't comment on the food.

Looking for original Chinese meal in northern Sweden is not an easy job. You can therefore imagine our excitement when we found out about this place promising experienced Chinese cook preparing all sort of delicacies. We ordered sechuan, sweet and sour and chinese wook vegitable with noodles. Out of these three meals only one left us wanting more and it was noodles with vegitables achieving really desirable taste. Sechuan was edible but was lacking in typical "spiciness" associated with this traditional meal. It was however sweet and sour chicken that was real blasphemy for all Chinese meals. The cook managed to make tasteless chicken in tasteless sauce - really remarkable achievement.
As far as place and waitress was concerned I have nothing but praise to say. I can see myself visiting this place once more ordering this time only "wook" things though :-)

A friendly cosy place with a limited number of seats. We had a nice Afternoon tea on a Saturday afternoon. Pre-booking necessary. It was full booked and quite tight but everything went well. Very fresh and varied selection of savory and sweet bakery products accompanied with a tea. Buffet style.

Better than other international burger chains. It's local and has one advantage over other Max restaurants in Sweden, still features the Skrov burger, which is so traditional for Northern Sweden that the locals would probably take to the streets if it were to be removed from the menu, as it was in the rest of Sweden.
