We stopped here for lunch since we were passing through. Our grandparents lived in Lufkin when we were growing up, and Ray’s was the place to get a great vanilla shake. Happy to say, they’re still as good as they have always been with a burger and onion rings. Glad to know that some great things haven’t changed!

Orange Leaf is a great treat when you are craving something sweet! We absolutely love visiting here when one of us isn't feeling too well, when it's too hot out or if we just need a pick-me-up! Staff is normally very friendly and they always have a great selection to choose from.

This was my first visit to Standpipe Coffee House and I look forward to visiting again soon. Very friendly, laid-back atmosphere with exposed brick walls, old Coke signs, high pressed-tin ceilings. Lots of seating at tables or comfortable chair groups. Great for morning coffee and a paper or book, visiting with friends, a quiet card or chess game, or working on the internet. The pastries looked delicious. Very friendly baristas, great coffee in a clean, casual atmosphere. Highly Recommended.

MarTeres is seriously good food. The entrees are homemade from scratch and each week offers new specials on the menu. It's clear the owners work hard to provide their patrons delicious and generous portions in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I've been eating here since MarTeres opened many years ago and the quality and consistency has never wavered. Call for a reservation to be sure you get a spot. You won't be disappointed!

We enjoyed a meal and glass of wine here, (for the first time) recently.
We’d heard great things about the restaurant, the wine selection, and, of course, the food options.
I chose their Cobb salad and loved it. My husband raved about their tomato, cheese and olive flat bread. We both tried new wines that we loved, too.
Located in the middle of the historic business center in Lufkin, you feel relaxed the moment you enter. Booths, old game table and counter service are available seating options. The brick walls and exposed duct work in the ceiling create a warehouse feel. The brick walls house wine storage and overall creates a cozy, inviting space for lunch.
Things liven up many nights with music. Check out their happy hour from 3-7 weeknights, for house specials and discounted beverages.
Service was friendly and everything was delicious. Can’t wait to return.

I wanted to take my wife someplace special for her birthday. Knowing she love the food in NOLA I decided to bring her here. She ordered stuffed mushrooms, a cup of seafood gumbo and shrimp Charles. Noah (our server) did a fantastic job making sure everything arrived hot and at the right time. Needless to say she had a wonderful time, really enjoyed everything she ordered and. Eat it all We live 45 miles south of Lufkin but when time permits we will return again. Thanks Noah.

We wanted something different than our normal haunts so we went. We both had a dish with a filet and etoufee and shrimp on it. This was very very delicious and one of our favorite dishes here. The salad was also very good and fresh. They brought bread to the table but it was just barely warm. Had the bread been warm I would have given a 5.

What a great spot. Going down the marble stairs helped to set the mood. The room is quiet and lovely. Three of us had delicious steaks and one had chicken. The meal comes with a nice salad and the steaks had roasted potatoes and broccoli. There is a nice wine list. In some cases a bottle is more economical than by the glass. We ended the meal sharing a piece of cheesecake. Manhattan is definitely worth a visit.

I had not been to Moms in a good while but the business associates wanted to go. I ordered a double meat cheeseburger and fries. The fries were typical and fresh. The burger was alright, nothing spectacular. I'll have to go back and see how some of their other things are.

The Bobbys Bourbon Tenderloin is a very well seasoned and prepared the way you want it. They have a decent wine selection but seem to have an issue with keeping a stocked inventory of what they offer. The service is always casual but timely. Their menu selection is small but all of it is good and the prices vary depending on what you want. The crab cakes are also very good.
