Bakery
Love this little cozy bakery.... And, everything we tired was Absolutley delicious! Got my birthday cake here too...wow, amazing lemon cake with raspberry frosting. Wish it was one longer hours, as it seems a perfect place for a hot cocoa and snack après ski...

Mojo Cafe in Ludlow, Vermont, serves modern tex-mex cuisine allowing for a blend of Mexican, Cajun and anything else our creative desires lead us to. Rooted in a love of food, music and a healthy lust for life we hope to create affordable and unique food in a fresh and vibrant atmosphere that inspires our customers as much as us. We use local suppliers in to prepare clean food right before your eyes in our open kitchen. It is our promise to keep our prices as low as we can afford through hard work, honest food and passion. That's Mojo Cafe.
Love this fun, casual Mexican eatery. Food is fresh and delicious. The fish bowl I had was filled with healthy ingredients and was beyond my expectations. My husband’s Po ‘Boy sandwich was so good my twelve year old traded his tacos for it. Our third year visiting. Only con—Portions can be small.

My son in law gave us a gift certificate to Downtown Grocery. We had already tried it and felt uncomfortable with their up-selling technique.
I ordered the only vegetarian item on the menu - falafel. It was so hard it was inedible. I mentioned it to the wait staff who made all sorts of excuses. If they can’t get the only vegetarian offering right it shows poor culinary skills.
We would highly recommend Roots in Rutland as an alternative with better food at half the price. It is definitely worth the drive.

These are the best treats you could ever get while skiing.
The whole experience, for a family with little ones, goes something like: kids get tired skiing and start to whine, so head down lower arrow (or somewhere mid mountain that ends up around there)... kids start to smell the waffles... kids brighten... mouths water... whole family heads to the waffle cabin like the two are rigged with magnets. The line is always quick, the tab is always a little higher than you'd like or expect, but after the first bite you realize you would have paid more and not cared. (I hope the waffle cabin doesn't read that.) The kids are now happy, everyone wants to ski again, you're hoping you ski enough to burn off the calories (but you don't really care) and you plan your next day around exactly when you'll wind up at those adorable picnic tables in the snow.
No kids? No difference - a sophsticated adult palette is just as happy with one of these waffles. Enjoy!

This was our anniversary and we wanted to go someplace special. Sam's was highly recommended by the hotel Great menu and I had a hard time picking what to order. Finally decided on the Prime Rib and I am so glad. Ordered it medium rare and that is the way it was prepared. So tender and juicy with the most wonderful and flavorful sauce that made it perfect! It was fork tender. My wife and I split the meal and we couldn't eat it all. See the pictures below! I thought the prices were reasonable for a high quality steak house. All their steaks are dry aged and have wonderful flavor and were very tender. Excellent quality of steaks and they have a really nice salad bar with anything and everything on it. Great selections to choose from.

My husband and I came here and had such a great time that we brought our children for our last vacation night meal together.
The bar is small but buzzy and it was fun to watch drinks being concocted. I had a fantastic "retox" - like a margarita with kale (this is VT after all) and coriander. My husband had a great gin martini. The broccoli rabe was charred and had a nice salsa rosa but the real star of the show was the chicken and flank steak. We rarely order chicken when out because there is such a high probability for failure- but this was a really amazing dish. The chicken was moist and flavorful and tasted like chicken- the sauce- more like a pan reduction was so good we wanted a loaf of bread to sop it up. The flank steak was also tasty, with its own reduction and a chimichurri that added a nice tang. For dessert, the vanilla ice cream was homemade and a great texture- light and it went amazing with the chocolate pots de creme and the peach/berry crisp. At the end of the meal, we all wished we could walk home, but we were very content and had had a great night together.

Can’t go wrong. It’s all terrific! Service is great and food is too with reasonable prices. The first floor cozy restaurant is a throwback to earlier times but endures in its realistic approach to old fashioned food choices and wonderful service makes for an enjoyable experience, breakfast or lunch. Enjoy!

Ordered some sandwiches. They ran out of avocado (comes with the sandwich I ordered)I was okay with that but they were quite snippy when I asked if I can have something substituted for it. Food was average at best. I can only suggest going if it's super convenient but I likely won't be back unless forced. Too many places are appreciative of business to deal with attitude.

We stopped in for the prime rib but by the time we were seated (8 pm on a Saturday) they were already sold out. Not sure if that was a sign of a great dish or (more likely based on the rest of our experience) a poorly managed restaurant. Waitress took our order for prime rib, returned 10 minutes later to inform us they were out and suggested a NY strip steak as a substitute that was almost inedible - too tough, gristly and wrong temp. Another issue was that they had run out of garlic mashed potatoes so they just served all of us baked potatoes (that were small and dried out beyond belief). No comment from the server that they had run out until we challenged her about it when she tried to run away after dropping the plates. Her curt response was that we didn’t order mashed potatoes. Simply incredible. Waitress was otherwise surly, disinterested, and downright rude. It was so terrible that it made me tip less than 20% for the first time in years. The salad bar was a sad affair with wilted and unappetizing toppings. This place has no redeeming qualities - especially for the prices they are asking for. There are so many better options that I would not recommend that anyone eat here.

A hip, modern & clean environment. We serve high quality food for an affordable price. Serving to our local & non local clientele. Our menu has gluten free and vegetarian options as well as comfort foods. Enjoy our wine list, local beers, daily drink specials and our "Burgers".
We started with margaritas which were homemade but a lil light on the alcohol ( we ordered golds with grand mariner. )
I had the onion soup which was almost as good as mine and my friend loved her wings requested well-done and obliged by kitchen.
I had a Brie Burger and it was perfect. It was big and juicy and tasty. The Brie was creamy and a brilliant topping. The others we’re satisfied with their burgers too and the Parmesan truffle fries were delicious. Service attentive, we ate in the bar. A little loud, but we like bustle .
