The Penguin Restaurant with direct sea-views is the only full service restaurant in Lüderitz. It is open throughout the year and delicious local Lüderitz lobster, oyster and abalone, and Namibian dishes are served. Vegetarian and children's menus are also available. Lavazza coffees with fresh patisseries are available the whole day. Lunches can be enjoyed on the outside terraces with direct sea views. In-house guests are treated to one of the best full buffet breakfasts in Namibia (FREE for in-house guests).
The food was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. The day was very windy and it was lovely to sit inside and have a meal with the family.

This is the kind of place that gets a lot of traction on tripadvisor due to the likable atmosphere in the restaurant, but unfortunately it doesn't meet the expectations. We took the buffet and found ourselves eating overcooked stuff. We ate in the back side of the restaurant and in order to get there we had to walk through the kitchen. Normally an open kitchen is a good sign. This time not. It was really dirty. There are not many alternatives in Luderitz, but the day after we ate in crayfish bar restaurant and the quality of the food is way higher and the service is way better (only the service is slow).

Coffee Shop in Luderitz, which also offers the Oyster & Wine Bar and small Restaurant! Open 7 days a week!
We ate here oysters with fries and kingklip with potatosalad. Fries had been on too cold oil, but other parts were perfect. Most of all we enjoyed oysters, which are so rare at home. Nice restaurant, we enjoyed. Coffee-section also looked very good.

After exploring Luderitz town and its many historic builders there's nothing nicer than a drink or two at this beautiful setting while watching the sun go down. Drinks are really well priced and staff friendly. Then go downstairs to the hotel's Penguin Restaurant for a delicious meal.

My wife and I went for lunch. We sat in the garden which was really nice and had a view of the water. There was a tortoise wandering around.
I had a coffee shake which was great.
Sandwiches, salads and dessert (hazelnut cheesecake) were excellent, fresh, homemade.
Staff and owner were very friendly.

Open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
We went here twice when in Lüderitz. This is a very nice location with local ambience, but Seating is uncomfortable. On the first evening we had excellent service, but the fish was completely undercooked. On the second evening they had run out of the wine we had the night before (stock up maybe?), service was really bad and the pork I had was was still rare. Sent it back and will look into other options for next time.

Restaurant with a beautiful view in Luderitz, Namibia, located at the Luderitz Waterfront serving seafood, breakfasts, steaks, etc. with a coffee corner and outside deck. The perfect place for having cocktails while enjoying the sunset over the harbour.
The Terrace above the shops has a good view over the harbour where acivities are going on. When windy there is plenty space inside as well. We had a delicious llarge langoustines and a plate of large oisters.Thank you for the review! Glad you enjoyed the food.
