This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the former capital of Laos, and you'll see everything from golden-roofed temples to vestiges of colonial French architecture here. Buddhist monasteries abound in Luang Prabang, and early every morning, monks process through the streets collecting alms (their food for the day). If you want to watch or participate, though, ask your hotel for a brief etiquette lesson first—you have to distribute the food in a specific manner.

We had a great stay at Villa Ban Phanluang. The building is really beautiful, and the family that runs it were very welcoming and enthusiastically nice. Our room was maybe a little small, but hand-built with amazing dark woods and a steal at the rates they charge here. We were concerned it might feel a bit outside of things, but actually found the location quite charming. The little neighborhood is very interesting. Far from an inconvenience, walking across the bamboo bridge each day turned out to be a highlight. And just a 5-minute stroll puts you smack in the center of town. The owner was also very helpful in arranging a scooter rental for our outing to Kuang Si Falls. It was a fantastic day trip, but be careful how you choose to get there - https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g295415-d555731-r745136442-Kuang_Si_Falls-Luang_Prabang_Luang_Prabang_Province.html And don't skip the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre either while you're in Luang Prabang. It was one of the best things we did in all of SE Asia - https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g295415-d1450435-r745138320-Traditional_Arts_and_Ethnology_Centre-Luang_Prabang_Luang_Prabang_Province.html

We spent 4 nights here and the staff were very nice and organized. The rooms are large and clean. The selection for breakfast was good in my opinion. Eggs cooked any way you like with warm soft bread and fruit. The smoothies are very nice and so was the banana pancake. The bed was large but on the firm side and the towels and sheets could have been cleaner. I can say our stay was nice and the location is in walking distance of many attractions

An official UNESCO protected site and built in authentic traditional Lao style, MyLaoHome Boutique Hotel is located right in the middle of the city. Featuring one of the best rooms in the area, MyLaoHome Boutique Hotel adds a twist to boutique hotels with its spread of fauna, as well as a generously spaced balcony terrace. Be awed with the view of the Mekong River nearby as we pamper you with our Lao Hospitality and a selection of fine foods at our restaurant.
Had a wonderful experience staying at Mylaohome Hotel and Spa. My friends and I are warmly welcomed by staff and given rooms that are spacious and had the homely feel. Good location as it is nestled at UNESCO site near Mekong River, Night Market (which you can get souvenirs and best elephants pants) and best coffee Cafe at Joma and Saffron. We had the best guide (Mr Joy) who drove us to Vang Vieng and I had fulfilled my curiosity and dream of staying in a Tree House on top of the world to enjoy the sunrise. If you like adventure and the adrenaline, try zip line all the way down 70m from the tree house! Will miss the food, the people and culture.

The hotel is very nicely situated in the historic center of Luang Prabang but very quiet as well. Nice to be able to enjoy the breakfast on the terrasse in the garden. Welcoming and efficient staff. Perfect place to stay to be able to go to the offering ceremony.

Luang Prabang Hotel by Villa Merry Lao III is located on Phousi Road, in the centre of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang. It offers cosy rooms with an en suite bathroom. Free WiFi is available in the entire property. Sites of interest such as the Visun Temple, Luang Prabang National Museum and the Night Market are all within a 5-minute walk of the Luang Prabang Hotel. It is a 15-minute ride from Luang Prabang International Airport. All rooms have air conditioning and a TV with cable channels. En suite bathrooms are fitted with shower facilities. For convenience, the hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and staff at the tour desk can help guests with sightseeing arrangements.
First point! Download the map and contact details (or book airport transfer by email) because our driver had great trouble finding the place, confusing it with other hotels with :"Luang Prabang" in the name! The staff were very friendly and helpful. A decent choice of welcome drinks. Our room was large and comfortable but not at all luxurious. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was adequate, with excellent shower pressure and good hot water in basin and shower. The wifi was OK when it worked! But it did not always work. Breakfast was adequate: you get a simple menu and oder and it is collected for you. The area is a bit noisy but not too bad. We were happy with the place.

As many people have said; the location is fantastic. Just next to the bustling night market and main street full of restaurants. The location gets a high score. But the hotel is tired and in need of a deep clean. The drinking glasses in our bathroom were caked in filth. I left them out prominently for room service and they did not exchange them. The toiletries were in large branded bottles like “Pantene” but were definitely cheap mystery refills. The bathroom was dirty and sad. The electricity ports looked old. The hotel staff were chaotic and didn’t seem to know anything about the tours and transport they claimed to offer. Our breakfast order was given to the wrong table one morning and we had to wait for it to be remade. We loved Luang Prabang and the rooms at Villa Phathana were cheap and did the job. But I can’t say we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the large room with a balcony and really enjoyed our time there. We only had 2 gripes, the first of which was the lack of the refrigerator in the room which was supposed to be there according to our book. Not a huge deal, but we expected it. Secondly, we booked a trip the night before with the front desk, the next day the driver was not there. We said something after 10 minutes, and they called us another drive. All in all, we wasted 50 minutes of our time to get to the waterfalls. We typically don't use hotels to book drivers as they charge more due to the kickback they receive. All in all, we were not very happy to waste part of our morning while having to pay more money. Otherwise, the stay was lovely and the choice of 3 types of eggs at breakfast was nice. Air conditioning was also very good.

The staff, particularly Phát, was incredible at looking after us. He really did everything he could to make our stay as good as possible. He always had a big smile when serving us. The staff there work very hard and seem to be available all hours. The breakfast was great especially pancakes. Welcome drink was a nice touch. Phat really went the extra mile for us. Thank you!
