Bistro Pastis is a Provençal and Southern French - inspired kitchen. Our simple and intimate dining place is in our back garden, giving a very home-like feel. The A La Carte menu changes regularly based on seasons and the chef's moods. We will always try
We have had dinner two nights at Pastis since we arrived in Luang Prabang last week. Most recently tonight. Food has been consistently good from moderate menu usually four each starters, mains and desserts. Good variety and preparation in a nice comfortable residential garden. Our kind of place and it should be yours when visiting LP!Thank you so much for your great support and for coming back so regularly! Our chef and team loved your ongoing curiosity and positive feedback for our dishes. Do let us know next time you come back to LP; we look forward to hosting you again in our little secret garden.Wishing you a safe trip back home!

In Lao, âSoum Noumâ means âto gatherâ. It is this idea of coming together, that you will find in our restaurants, mixing Lao & Mediterranean culinary cultures in our dishes.
We were in pizza withdrawal after 12 days in Laos. We ordered the Lao salad and two pizzas, one vegetarian and one four cheeses. They were perfectly cooked in a wood fired oven. The vegetarian pizza needed more Italian spices, but we did get get a bottle of chili oil. The four cheese pizza was fabulous. We wound up with pizza to take back to the hotel. One pizza would have been enough. Very nice setting with romantic songs by Tony Bennett.Dear our beloved guests,Thank you so much for writing such good review for us on tripadvisor. We are really happy that we reached your expectation. We hope you had a wonderful trip in town. See you in your next vacation if you choose to come back Luang Prabang. Flo

Restaurant is located near Aussie Bar and Mojo Hostel. Food is amazingly good. Potion is huge and ingredient is fresh. I ordered a salad and found vegetable and delicious dressing with the whole ball from yummy cheese with the price of USD3.5The only downside for me personally is that the restaurant is small and they allow guest to smoke. Staff is polite. They may not speak perfect English but they sure try their best to take care of you.

After several weeks of Asian food, this restaurant could not have come at a better time! Pizzas were very very good. Pasta was also decent - and able to cater for GF dietary requirements. Only complaints would be it was a little oily. However despite this would not stop me from coming back! Would definitely recommend!

Was really looking forward to eating at this highly rated restaurant but after a while I could hear yelling in the kitchen. It turned out it was the owner yelling abusively at his staff. I asked to see the owner but was told he was 'busy' even though he could see me waiting at the cash area from the kitchen. Total coward. The food may be could but it is unacceptable that an expat running a restaurant in Luang Prabang treats his staff like this. The other customers may not have said anything but they were totally embarrassed by the situation. Please do not support this guy. It is not worth it.
