The accomadations are wonderful! I have never slept so well, away from home! The meals are spectacular! Tim & Renee are the most kind, warm and friendly hosts, I could not have been happier with my stay! As I travel to work nearby,I will be returning frequently!

I spent much of my childhood here before time passed the home onto new owners who transformed it into a bed and breakfast. We recently took a trip down memory lane to see what the new owners have done to restore the house. My daughter and I were thrilled to be greeted by Sheila and Chris who put the heart, hospitality and history back into the house. Our accommodations were meticulous and we were so well received. What a true gift!

Recreation and relaxation for the year round outdoor enthusiast. Located at the Stillwater Reservoir, this is a wilderness destination. Three beautiful rooms, spa tubs, gas fireplaces, hearty mountain breakfast. Complimentary access to canoes from The Stillwater Shop in summer; snowshoes available for guest use in winter. Great destination for hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and back country cross country skiing.
I wanted to surprise my husband with a get away weekend for his birthday and found the listing for the Northern Lights Bed and Breakfast online. Several times I contacted Jackie and Frank to ask questions, change our room, and add an additional night to our stay. They were most accommodating with all my correspondence and were prompt to get back to me. Our weekend was WONDERFUL! The Elm room was large, homey, tastefully furnished with a huge bathroom. Each morning Jackie prepared delicious hearty healthy breakfasts to start our day off right. Jackie and Frank are very knowledgeable about the area and were able to recommend excellent snowshoe hikes for us. It was a romantic, quiet, restful, and enjoyable weekend for us both. We will DEFINITELY return for either a winter getaway or a fall getaway to enjoy the reservoir and its many boating opportunities.

A busy place for lunch on the tug! If you stop after 1 pm the major crowds are gone. Got there around 1230 on a weekday no where to sit in the main dining room, went "out back" and we were waited on right away,so if it's packed with sleds all over stop anyway, good wait staff. Had a good lunch. 1pm but they were quick and attentive good chow, a good stop on the tug . Stop here every time I ride up north.

If you like dog hair on everything this place is for you! This place looks like it has not been cleaned since it opened. There are dogs every where you look along with there hair. A cheap feeling bar on the tug hill, damn busy ,but where else are you going to go? I would never eat there (see dog hair) and not clean. Ok for a quick stop for a drink and back to the riding.
