A 10 bedroom hotel based in Britain's most easterly town Lowestoft. The hotel is a Victorian building recently modernised and a few minutes stroll to the award winning sandy beaches. The rooms have modern en-suite bathrooms, hair dryers, digital television, free Wifi, tea/coffee making facilities and ironing facilities (upon request).
Spent one night in this fabulous hotel overlooking a lovely park with sea views just beyond and only minutes to the beach/promenade. The owners of Hotel Katherine were the perfect hosts - welcoming, helpful and very friendly. Their attention to detail in this recently refurbished hotel is second to none. The decor is beautiful and the furnishings were of high quality - I LOVED the colour schemes throughout the public areas and our bedroom. The bright and airy bedroom was spacious enough for me to do an online Pilates class whilst looking out to our sea view. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and not only did we have tea/coffee and biscuits (which could be replenished from a communal area on the first floor) but there was squash, hot chocolate and plenty of complimentary chilled water available too. Breakfast was included and we were treated to a selection of fresh berries, yogurt, granola, cereals etc before ordering our cooked breakfast of choice. Plenty of tea and fresh coffee on demand all served in their beautiful dining area. A well stocked honesty bar, and chocolate snacks were available to purchase to satisfy any out of hours cravings. As you can tell, we loved our visit to Hotel Katherine and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Suffolk area.

Situated 3 minutes' drive from the Rookery Park Golf Course and 3 miles from the coastal town of Lowestoft with it's lovely sandy beaches, The Coach House offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi, ample free parking, a brasserie bar and function rooms. The ever popular resort of Southwold is just ten miles away, and the historic city of Norwich is just a thirty minute drive. Each room at The Coach House features an en suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi,flat-screen TV. A hearty breakfast made of locally sourced ingredients is available daily and is included in the price.
We really enjoyed our stay here whilst we were visiting Southwold. We had a great sized room which was immaculate, and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. A great bonus was a lovely outdoor area and grounds to walk our dog. Tracey and her team were exceptional without being fussy, good fun whilst still being professional. Even though it was a last minute booking and 10 miles from Southwold, we will most definitely be returning here as a base rather than bothering to look in Southwold itself.

What a wonderful treat we’ve just had. We collected our Sunday roast dinners (in foil containers) and took them home to have a lazy lunch. What a fabulous, tasty treat - no washing up and no hassle, just lovely, scrummy Sunday lunch. We will certainly be doing this again (very soon).

Exemplary guest house. Exceptionally clean with friendly owners. All rooms en-suite shower / toilet with dbl + single bed in every room. 150 yards from fantastic beach. Free Wi-Fi. Unbelievable value.
This guest house is well placed for the beach although a little way from the town centre. At its price it represents excellent value for money - friendly welcoming host, well equipped room (although it was a little basic) and everywhere extremely clean.

Covered in dust, unbearably hot with minimal ventilation and no air conditioning (although there was an extra heater!) hot, shower door didn’t close properly so bathroom flooded, toilet only flushed some of the time, lights didn’t work, loud whirring noise outside due to extractor fan. Ironing board but no iron. Springs on bed poking out into our backs, horribly uncomfortable anyway but that made it worse. The room was already inconceivably hot but the plastic sheeting underneath the sheet made for a very sweaty night. Entry system not working, had to find employee from main hotel which was never easy. Reception usually unmanned so has to wonder around the bat/ restaurant area. That employee then had to find the master key and come across the road and let us in the main door and come up the stairs to our room and let us in there too. Genuinely awful. Was massively overpriced and I feel robbed.

Family run bed and breakfast situated on Lowestoft seafront. A grade 2 listed victorian building has spectacular sea views of an award winning blue flag beach.
Bon-Ami was very well kept, clean and in a perfect location just across the road from the beach. Julie, Barry and Ruby were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was just right, plentiful with local fresh ingredients. We stayed in the Deluxe Double Room with Sea View room which had a lovely view of the ocean. The bed and the room were so comfortable with everything there that we needed. Not forgetting Floyd, the ever present house pooch who is always up for a fuss, nice home from home! We will definitely stay here if in the area again.

This hotel is a charity hotel for ex serviceman and woman but at the moment taking non service folks do to covid finance restraints. The hotel has a lift to all floors. There is a games room with a snooker table and plenty of board games, there is a tv room and a room with a couple of desktop pc's in you can use. Our room was basic but practical, you can ask for a little fridge to be put in your room which we did. I would recommend asking for one at booking so its there when you arrive. The breakfast was very nice which you pre order the day before. Your room number is your table number and when you arrive they start to cook your breakfast. There is toast, cereal, fruit etc to help yourself to. The breakfast items were of a good quality and cooked to perfection.
