Mixed feelings about this place. My schnitzel was very good. But why was it served on an ice-cold iron skillet? I would have much preferred a warm plate! The restaurant is in a lovely old building, but the medieval atmosphere would have been enhanced without the music of the local radio station and the tuneless whistling of the waiter in the background...
we had been to the Schloss and wanted and quick snack and found this little place. It was busy with mainly locals it seemed to us. We both had a soup. My husband's was very good, mine was average. Pleasant service. Front is a bakery and cake shop, they looked very good!

With the statue of Kaiser Bismarck near the terrace and an excellent selection of dishes including season dishes like "Spargel", for all there is something to like here.Perfect service, great village and friendly pricing makes this a must visit.

We came here for a quick 'Grandfather Anton breakfast' which is 2 buns, various spreads (meat, cheese, marmalade, nutella, honey, a boiled egg and a coffee of choice. The bread was fresh and tasty, and the selection of spread fine. However the coffee wasn't very good, and had an odd aftertaste. We did share this with the lady working at the counter, they apparently had just been working on the settings of the machine...it may need some more work. With a good coffee this would be a great value deal at ⬠5.35Tip: 2 hour free parking around the corner

Had some beers and dinner here on a couple of nights recently. The beers were excellent, the staff friendly and helpful and the food was really excellent. Great soup and wonderful Schnitzel. What more could you want in this corner of Germany.
