We ran in here on a rainy and windy night apparently shortly before closing time. We decided to sit upstairs for a little more warmth than near the front door. As we went upstairs, the downstairs waiter snidely remarked, âOh my colleague will be happy to see you.âThe waitress upstairs couldnât give me any recommendation for a vegetarian meal, so I picked the lentil curry. When I asked if there were any vegetables in there, she looked at me like I was stupid and said no, just lentils. When it came, there were actually also potatoes in it, and maybe a few slivers of carrots. It looked like a dogâs dinner. It tasted worse: heavily spiced but not flavorful. I would bet anything that the whole business came out of a can. I ate the potatoes and left most of the lentils. My daughterâs tarte flambée came heavily burned on the bottom. It was obvious that someone had tried to scrape off the burned part, which means they had noticed it was burned and served it anyway. The only good thing that I can say about this place is that we had a quiet comfortable table and thereâs a nice play area for small children.

At first I have to say the Service is perfect. The waiters are trained so well, I saw a lot worse trained people in high-end restaurants. The menu is a good mix of meat, fish and deserts. We've been here several times and the quality was always perfect. The serving size is amazing at a totally fair price.I would especially recommend the "Kaiserschmarrn" but you should share it because it is really big.If you are in Cuxhaven (Duhnen or Döhse) you sould totally have lunch or coffee here!

Went here for dinner and ordered a steak. Steak was tender but lacked the flavor I was hoping for. The staff is very nice and speaks English. However, the menus are in German only

We enjoyed a business lunch on a great day in Cuxhaven (very sunny). This restaurant has a very nice sun room in the back - request to sit here. The food was very good, with a good variety. Typical northern German dishes, with other unique flavors. Our group all got something different and enjoyed our plates. Good option when in Cuxhaven and close to the Castle.

We come here regularly as it opens mostly everyday plus service is good, seating is all nice with the view to the sea and the food is relatively good. It is part of a hotel. The resto is where all ships are passing from the north sea to the elbe river and vice versa. At the right tome of the day, the restaurant makes announcements of what ships are passing by, their names, their loads, their technical detail, their point of departure and their destination. That was such a nice experience.

See and be seen on the Duhner Promenade! We welcome you to enjoy finest fish and dishes, tasty burgers or quiche, accompanied by carefully selected wines, cold beer or cool cocktails in a modern lounge atmosphere and a relaxed bistro-style, right on the D
I ordered the Kamp burger for dinner with wedge fries. This was the strangest burger I ever had. It was a messy burger. The texture was strange as if the meat was pressed too hard, there was too much of the mayo-ketchup mixture. Nevertheless, it was a tasty burger indeed.

Cuxhaven is perhaps not your first priority when it comes to visit something touristic on a half Sunday off. But we did and mainly to have some nice well prepared fish for lunch. We started with âDoppelmatjesâ and âKrabbensuppeâ followed by âKutterschollenfiletâ. Everything was cooked to almost perfection and well-seasoned. The service was both friendly and effective. And to our big surprise they accepted Mastercard as a mean of payment. Not very common in rural Germany. It was even very easy to find parking space nearby.
