Auf Besuch in meinem Geburtsort war ich wirklich postiv überrascht! Das Dorfstübchen ist ein Traditionslokal, das mittlerweile sehr schön modernisiert worden ist.Bei der BegrüÃung durch die Wirtin habe ich mich schon fast zuhause gefühlt.Die Speisekarte baut auf Schnitzel-Variationen auf.Eine sehr gute Idee sind die sechs unterschiedlichen Panaden, die zur Auswahl stehen. Ich hatte Zwiebel-Panade, von der ich mir vorher nicht vorstellen konnte, wie das denn gehn soll. Fazit: Es geht tatsächlich und ist ziemlich lecker!Alles in allem bestimmt ein Gewinn für den Ort. Beim nächsten Besuch bin ich sicherlich wieder dort!

...directly at the lake Hohnsen. Nice terrace and very good service, quite attentive and friendly. Food (steak, fish, vegetarian) was very good and fresh. Quite loaded place, even on a Monday evening shows that the location is very well recommend (book in advance). Even specials (e.g. no sauce) were not an issue...

We came for lunch to this nice restaurant with great ambience close at the motorway exit A5. All service personnel was very friendly, attentive and helpful. A large menu made our choice not easy. Food came quickly and we focused on vegetarian stuff. All came in very large portions and tasted great. Is this a helpful review? We had a nice meal here , the lamb was very tasty and hot my colleague had the steak . They offered us home made local drinks at the end of the meal , price was not too bad either

Great evening...I started with a 1L beer, and order (can't remember the name: sauerkraut/Choucroute) but was a mix of all possible sausage. Was a bit heavy for an evening meal but so good !!! the atmosphere was warn, nice fire place, clean and good space between table ideal for large group meal .Waitress were polite and nice, one was even dressed with Bavarian dress...toilet very clean.a good place to try...

According to me, it's more a cafe serving some food then a restaurant.We booked a table at this restaurant as it was close to the hotel we were staying. As of the Christmas market, it was good we booked as the place was packed.The girl serving us was really friendly and helpful but it seems she was doing all the work herself. She really needed to run from table to table.The food itself wasn't too bad, but my meat was a bit overcooked. I asked for saignant but according to me it was more well done, lost a lot of it's flavors.The restaurant was also very noisy.Recommending it for a snack or quick dinner, not expecting too much.First of all: thank you for your honest review.We appreciate any kind of critic that helps us to improve our service and cooking skills.We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at our restaurant, we just ask you to keep several minor things in mind:-Our service team works never alone, there are at least 3 waiter/waitress', why there was just one waitress to your service leaves us a little bit puzzled- overcooked food does not satisfy anyone, that's why you can send your food back anytime for giving us the chance to make things right. - December is the main-season for company christmas parties, therefore it is crowded and noisy, like in any other restaurant of this size in Hildesheim. Under usual circumstances you can sit, chat and relax, without noisy people around you.If you find your way back to Hildesheim, you are invited for a menu of your choice, and who knows?
