Why is it "Average" It is "Average" because the flavor of the offerings are minimally flavored in a genuine Italian comparison. For example, the array of spices to infuse the bolognese sauce is limited and ordinary. The taste does not excite the palate. It would be so easy to add more flavor to the sauce at only slight cost, if any cost as all. The pasta is dry (like you get off the store shelf) from measured small packets and boiled in hot water. There is no chance you will be given more or less that the prescribed amount. The vegetables in my salad were fresh, but surprisingly, not as flavorful as one would expect. They may have been prepared sooner than they were completely ripe and ready to be eaten for their best flavor. Why it is also "Very Good" As noted by others, the staff are very friendly and courteous- several are actually excellent- a couple cooks (the woman on the far left of the pasta cooking station and the black male to the right of her) and two of the male bar attendants. I was there at 3:30 pm on Monday, August 20, 2018.All the food is fresh and prepared on demand- a real plus! The restaurant is very clean- the staff do a very good job to keep it so in spite of the often and sudden arrival of many patrons.Suggestions for improvements to move toward consistent "Very Good" or "Excellent"1. Get rid of the bags of dry pasta and use fresh pasta instead. Also, offer "small" and "large" portions and allow the cooks to take it from a bin of fresh pasta. Offer "Gluten free" pasta as well.2. Work with vegetable suppliers to improve the quality and delivery of ripe, ready to eat, vegetables and fruit.3. Offer free WiFi. One of the benefits for the business to having patrons text photos of what they are eating there. Also, create a "best photo of the month" program online to capture the best visual representation of the meal with complementary meals for the winners.

Just dropped in on a Monday night, and the four of us had three pizzas and a pasta dish for dinner. All of them were fantastic, and the atmosphere at the restaurant was also very nice, and the personel were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint must be that the restaurant didnât take visa. Luckily enough we also had cash.

I don't know how many times we have been in. For the last years the high quality of the offered food was on highest level. Independently your order , pasta and pizza is extremely delicious. There is a small range of meat or fish available too but the core competency is the pizza. Additionally offered a daily choice shown on a separate board . Unfortunately it doesn't change often. The salads are also a small negative point. The dressing appears in my eyes like a prepared one bought in the supermarket . An positive aspect is the good range of wines. Just ask what kind it taste you prefer and you'll get a competent suggestion. Finally and even as important as the the food the always friendly and supporting service office by the owner . Her smile is a pure welcome to her guests. In summer a limited number of seats in front the restaurant are provided. Well it's in white plastic and the street only 5m away. Free parking,no wifi Highly recommended. Best pizza in town

Busy little place, offering good pizza, a selection of pasta, some meat/fish and a very reasonably priced menu in general.Beer selection is good, also offering alcohol free options.Service was excellent even though it was busy. The only downside is that they donât accept credit cards other than German âIC?â Cards. Our mastercards & visas were not good enough and we didnât have any cash!!Had to go to the bank ATM next door.Otherwise, perfect.

It is a small restaurant (seats about 25 people) with a store where you can buy already prepared delicacies and wine. Very cosy with many photos of previous patrons, friends, etc, wood floor and tables, outside terrace, and small, fresh menu. The food is delicious and well prepared. The manager (owner?) is not overly friendly, but the wait staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. We didn't have to wait long for anything. Price for the quality was very fair.

I first visited this restaurant with my wife and adult son on 26 Feb 16 following the recommendation from my son who had been there on a couple of previous occasions. On that occasion my wife and I only received our meal after my son had already finished his. Apparently this was a one off due to some issues in the kitchen and we were given an apology and did not have to pay for our meal. I visited the restaurant again on the 1 Jul 17 with my wife and two freinds and sadly I was once again made to wait for my meal and only received it as the other three had nearly finished theirs! The restaurant appears now to be aimed at the younger generation and seems to be a starting point for Hen nights (three groups of Hens were in the restaurant on this occasion). It is also difficult to have a conversation due to the background noise from the loudspeakers. Another negative point is that the wine is served in what appear to be heavy water glasses i.e. not in wine glasses (this is apparently the concept of this food chain!). All in all not a great experience. On the plus side; the service was good and the staff were very attentative. One of the staff even managed to find us some wine glasses and as an apology for the late meal I was offered one of their coffee specialities (I don't drink coffee but ordered a double Esspresso for my freind, although when it arrived it was only a single).I have heard great things about this place and the food is good (once it arrives) and the service was also very good but I can't see me visiting in the near future.Ciao Colin, thanks for your feedback! We're very sorry your meal arrived late twice in a row. We'll do our best to become better in all tasks related to organization & timing - and hope next time we'll not disappoint you. Kind regards, your L'Osteria Team
