Things to do in Nordhorn
Bedienung freundlich.
We tried to get in here on the Saturday night and were turned back because it was booked solid. When we went in on the Monday we worked out why - the service was great and the food was good, too! I had breaded chicken with mushrooms and chips. Good choice of beers, too!On the negative side, the owner was a little rude about me being from England.

Sehr empfehlenswert! :)
Sundag is a bakery and "Konditorei" (chain with about 20 outlets in the Nordhorn area. The branch I am reviewing is right in the middle of Nordhorn at a corner of the "Hauptstrasse" (Main Street). Sundag is a classic German bakery, where you can get your daily bread and pastries for taking home, but there are sit-down areas in the shop and upstairs. Ordering is at the counter; there is a choice of drinks, cakes, pastries and sandwiches. You take your order to the table yourself on a serving tray. But the coffee is good, the pastries are delicious (not surprising in Germany) and the bill is very reasonable. For a quick coffee or lunch stop with good coffee and food is Sundag always good.

Excellent food, great atmosphere. The restaurant was packed when we decided to pop in on a Saturday evening. Had main course and desserts with some wine - everything was delicious. Service was very attentive and kind! Reservation recommended since the restaurant had to turn back some clients without a reservation that evening. Seemed to be very popular in the area.
We had so much fun at this location. The food is excellent. One person in our group has allergies, and the entire staff worked very hard to serve him a great meal two times that did not affect his allergies. Their beers also pleased us. We tried a couple of their local brews. The buffet for the wedding reception was plentiful and well presented. Everything I had was good. There were over 100 people seated for the meal, and no one was crowded. Just a really fun place to go for either casual or special dining.

Big-Big disapointment... When all the guests have the same vegetables with almost all the dishes and the menu is numbered like a chinees restaurant because he is too hudge... Than it's time to ask yourself where I'm? Tapas are ridiculous expensive for almost fake 'fresh' ingredients served de with cheap sweet curry mayo from the supermarket! Is this portuguese? I made my choice for the "Free style fish menu"... What a bad décision! Filet of sole too cooked and too salty, served with the same supermarket sweet mayo and no trace of a quarter of lemon... Unbelievable ! The main course exactly on the same way. So after visiting Nordhorn sinds 30 years, there is definitively no gastronomic restaurants in town. This kind of restaurant will not stay more than 3 month in Brussels or Paris. Sad-sad-sad! Chef Michel

Through the reviews here on TripAdvisor we ended up checking this place out. Its nicely located in the city center of Nordhorn along a nice canal. They've got an outside terrace and two floors with tables inside. On the menu they've got a nice variety of food for not much money. I.e. a schnitzel will cost you around 9 euros, a nice big hamburger 10 euros, ice creams 5 euro, soft drinks are 2,30 euro a glass. For kids they've got a special corner with toys where they can enjoy themselves.Parking is free on Sundays. On other days there is a charge during the day or you could park at the DM store where you can park for free for 2.5 hours and walk to this place (approx. 10 minute walk).Food was good, service friendly, prices reasonable, will go here again.
