the place serves typical german food that everything is salty and over cooked. Nothing to write home about. The owner sings for about 15 minutes started around 8:30ish, all part of the program. The decoration of the restaurant is very simply tasteful. Other than being curious about this place. Food wise, we much prefer its next door neighbor, the pub and live music Balkan food restaurant, Piano.

The restaurant look very tiny and simple at first sight. Surprisingly I found a garden at the back with nice wooden picnicktables. Quiet and cosy. The menu is limitated but consists schnitzel and trout. I choose the schnitzel but the trout from my neighbours looked big and tastefull too. The orderd schnitzel came in two big pieces which tasted good. The chips and vegatables were fine to. A big glass of tasty beer completed the meal. Price â¬15,50!!! The staff (owners?) is very friendly and really concerned about your well being.

We had breakfast at the Berliner Hof, but did not stay there. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The surroundings were a little worn out, but nice and clean. I think the owner collects coffee sets as those were just everywhere. The breakfast itself was average, nothing revolutionating, but there were eggs, coffee, chocolate, juice etc. and we got plenty of good advises for a nice stay.

An excellent butchers platter. Huge in size with a great selection of all sorts of cold cuts from the restaurants own butchery served with fresh bread. At the end a regional Schnaps for digestion! The restaurant has a nice ambience, even though rather small but no problem to share a table with others.

A real slowfood restaurant in the Harz. All the producers of the cheese and meat are mentioned. Pity the menu is a little too much on potato's, eggs and cheese. By our visit the paste dishes were not available. But the schnitzel was more than ok. The burger was a bit too dry, the frites the best in town. A really nice stop on the slopes for a drink or a little bite to eat.

A really nice Little hidden gem. A little bid off the main street there is this restaurant with all these German specialities. My husband and children both had deer and wild boar with dumplings. They were really excited, it was just good. Big portions and nice outside seating!

We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The staff is 100% spot on! Fast, efficient and very forthcoming. The food quality for dinner was super. Well prepared and good portions. Just for breakfast it was a bit too "simple". I like to measure the quality of a breakfast buffet on the style of eggs available and when I see that the scrambled eggs are made of a ready mix-powder than this is automatically a minus. Hello Sascha, thank you very much for your rating about which we were very happy. At one point I must argue with you. We do not use egg powder. To avoid the danger of salmonella we use pasteurized eggs. Thank you for your understanding

A small restaurant in Braunlage with a small menu. The variety is good and the food very fresh and delicious. I recommend a table reservation on weekends and during school holidays.

Food was lovely, prices are bit higher but the setup is great, and looks like a great place to stay in. Staff was not too friendly and not really interested in providing good customer service. They serve food only inside and not on the terrace. Dog friendly.
