Lovely cafe with amazing food and given it was a busy Waitangi Day it couldn’t be faulted. I’d go back there anytime I was out that way

The Adzuki Bean is the love bean. In ancient times, a man went away to war. His wife waited for him under a big tree on a high mountain. Till he returned, she missed him so much her flowing tears turned to blood. The bright blood drops became red seeds, and the seeds germinated and rooted, growing into a big tree full of red berries.Slowly the red berries on the big tree joined with the wife's heartache, to become heart-shaped - the Adzuki Bean, the most beautiful bean in the world. Hard as a diamond, red as blood, shaped like a pulsating heart, glittering and transparent, dazzling the eyes. In China, the Adzuki Bean is precious like jade, and signifies spirituality and luck. It can always bring good luck in love.Adzuki Bean Cafe & Restaurant wishes you the very best luck - in life as in love.
A somewhat unpretentious restaurant but absolutely delightful food and very obliging staff. We enjoyed venison and duck and while there was a bit of a wait (which the staff did warn us was due to the time needed to cook the dishes) the wait was well worthwhile. Likewise with the dessert but again dishes to be savoured. Would certainly go back again.

Vivid with colour and saturated with flavour, Buddha Stix indulges all of your senses to create an intimate and memorable dining experience. Relax and soak up the atmosphere while you sip on one of our classic cocktails and enjoy the best pan-Asian cuisine on offer.
Visited Budda Stix for midweek dinner with three others (my first visit to the restaurant). The online booking system was very easy. From when we first arrived until we paid for our bill at the end the service was very good. Drink orders were taken within a couple of minutes of us being seated. We all ordered different meals and everyone agreed that the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly, I would go to Budda Stix again.

We didn't know Speights were in the north island, so pleasantly surprised when we were down for a break in Wellington. Place is a typical Speights pub so nice place to sit and chill. Staff very attentive and knowledgeable but food let them down this...MoreHi acoton I am sorry that we missed the mark on your visit, and I have talked to my Kitchen Team about your comments Thank you for letting us know Regards Justin

The food is really lovely and menu caters for most Italian food-lovers. The pork and fish dishes we had were excellent. We dined in one of the small rooms (off the main dining area) and found this to be very good away from the noise of the main area. Although service was a bit slow we were not in a hurry so in this instance it didn't matter. Recommended

Our goal is to serve fresh Artisan style Indian cuisine bursting with flavor in a relaxed, friendly environment.
The food here is incredibly delicious. The chicken pakora to start has the most tender chicken I have ever eaten and an amazing amount of spice. The lemon and honey butter chicken was a new experience for me and one I will be having again...MoreThank you Rachel! We are so happy you enjoyed the experience both the chicken pakora and lemon and honey are big favorites. Thanks for taking the time to write this review and welcome to the area, we look forward to seeing you all again :)

Modern fusion dining at its best awaits you in the heritage-listed Dentist building on Jackson street, Petone.
Took 2 friends with us to restaurant.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. 3 of us chose the Pork Fillet meal - small servings so needed some vegetables to share as well. The 4th member chose the Steak which he said was delicious. Again you needed to buy extra vegetables as it came alone. Wine list would have something for everyone on it.
Everything was tasty but when you need to buy extras the bill mounts up and the choices were not cheap to start with.
Having said that we would revisit this restaurant if we were down in Petone again.
Really hot night and very sticky inside restaurant - noticed even the staff were using little hand fans to try and cool down, so some fans would not go amiss in summer.

This small, intimate cafe provides an amazing range of food. I chose Eggs Benedict and was given the choice of English muffins or potato cakes. I chose the potato cakes for a change and what I received at the table was an amazingly styled plate that proved to be very filling but tasty.

I have been a regular at Chilli Masala (every 6-8 weeks) and the foods is always consistent. However as the restaurant has become more popular the service is slipping. On our last visit the service was painfully slow.
It was noticeable how many takeaways were being collected. I'm sure the takeaway customers aren't waiting over an hour for their food. Maybe they take preference over some diners (I did notice the service levels varied between tables).
Go for the food - but allow plenty of time for the meal!

WELCOME! Queen of Jackson is an upbeat bar and eatery, not another pub on the street! The bar and eatery will indicate a nostalgic upbeat London experience situated right in the heart of Jackson Street. Queen Of Jackson provides multi-levels of social abundance whilst tasting from the ever evolving craft beer, fine wine, premium cocktails and international styled sharing plates! Our rooftop garden bar is now a celebrated & integral part of the Petone skyline. Embarking yearly themed transformations to keep the excitement alive. Snuggle up with us during the Winter or lounge in the urban heat during Summer. KITCHEN IS OPEN TILL MIDNIGHT on weekends!
Our group called in for a quick pre-dinner drink. The staff were very attentative and knowledgable, friendly to boot. There is a good selection of keg craft beers and "something for everybody..." when it comes to drinks generally. The food menu looks to be excellent (we have heard good things about it) so will be back, soon I hope, to sample the food on offer.
