A real weekend tip close to the city: Gasthaus Mirli, found quite far back in the Irenental, not only has a catchy name, but also the most beautiful terrace in the vicinity of Vienna. This classic inn is located in a large field near the forest with a tremendous panoramic view. The menu offers local and seasonal specialties, the kitchen is quite small and one must expect pretty long waiting times on a sunny Sunday. Gasthaus Mirli is a family hotspot with a playground, but it's also frequented by hikers and mountain bikers. Groups are welcome, a reservation is recommended though.Caution: @ Mirli's you can only pay cash!Opening hours:Wednesday's through Sunday's and bank holidays from 11:00am to 10:00pm (Kitchen closes at 9pm!)

This is one of my family's favorite restaurants located just at the outskirt of Vienna. They offer delicious traditional Austrian cuisine, excellent grilled dishes and so far the best T-Bone steak in this part of the country! A popular destination for people of all ages. Weekends tho' could be very full especially during lunch and dinner so either come in much earlier or later. Making a reservation ahead of time will be ideal!
Gutes, bodenständiges Essen in gewohnter Qualität, wer die Familie Bogner junior kennt. Die Chefin und ihre Crew sind äuÃerst aufmerksam und versuchen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen.
We arrived pretty late but still the food was not amazing at all... Everything was pretty dry and the service non existent... Still waiting for some tap water !

A excellent restaurant in the outskirts of Vienna, with very nice and big outside garden, with a good service and better food then you would expect. We had a very cozy dinner, i had a great carpaccio to start with, as well the glazed chicken liver that my wife had was good. for the main i had a grilled octopus, and my wife the classic tafelspitz, which both were excellent.ended with great sweets, all that with a good bottle of wine for less then 100 euro.

We open 365 days a year and offer. Daily Meals and ethnic dishes on the menu. Espresso is our Passion
Regarding to a quite warm day we decided to have breakfast outside of Vienna. And since Corso could convince in the past we decided to give the Sunday buffet a try. It should be a good decision. Lactose-free white bread, rye bread, wholemeal bread, rolls, "Kornspitz", cakes, large sausage and ham plate, cheese, prosciutto, fruit salad, fruit juices, jams, vegan snacks, scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, boiled eggs, ..... everything you would imagine that you would like to enjoy in the morning! Corso you nailed it! :O) Thank you for a great start into the Sunday morning!
Very nice place with perfect service and excellent food.Spareribs are gorgeaus, vitello tonato as well. The owner Franz has turned this place into a jewel in Wienerwald. Nice terrace in summer. Draft beer Zwickel!

Having already been here for "coffee and cake" and the Steinerhof passed the "Apfel Strudel Test" we came back for a full meal. A misunderstanding over my desert was resolved without a problem (it was my own fault).Great service and a good straightforward honest menu; hearty fare. Fair prices. I recommend it.They accept dogs and bring water.
