Really liked the quirky feel this restaurant has,with the low ceilings and beams and authentic decor it really is lovely.
Unfortunately we didn't feel the same about the food :(
The lamb I tasted on the starter tasted more like steak....
In the main was chicken and lamb and both were overcooked which left them hard to cut,dry and chewy.
The rice was ok but the naan was very wet n doughy.
The service was acceptable with most of the staff being friendly.

I have been wanting to go to the taster menu here for ages and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The staff are very engaging and the service and food is second to none. Paul the owner and extremely talented chef, is warm and welcoming and his persona is infectious and is shown in his wonderful staff. I will continue to come back time and time again, thanks Paul and please thank your wonderful team for making my first visit so special.

Our food is freshly prepared, locally sourced (where possible) and bursting with flavour. Just as it should be. The Lounge is a firm favourite with those in the know; come and relax amid smart surroundings, whilst enjoying efficient, friendly and unobtrusive service that will make you want to linger a little more. Our menus are regularly updated to reflect seasonality, with a wide selection of dishes to suit all tastes and budgets. Don’t be afraid to ask for recommendations – there are lots of staples that keep our regulars coming back for more, and we are also happy to recommend wines to match. We will happily cater for varying dietary requirements too - just give us a call if unsure.

Been many times , generally very good and a nice atmosphere, however last time I had a mixed grill off the specials board and the meat was chewy and not enjoyable ! Will avoid specials i futureThank you for the review of your many visits, sorry to read that you didnt enjoy your mixed grill last time you visited, but obviously we are delighted that on your other visits you say it has been very good. best wishes Andrew

Busy Saturday night but service was OK although clearly under pressure so the waitress didn't have time to linger and was already walking away when I asked for a wine list. Later I had to leave the table to solicit a bill. I had mussels to start. Brilliant marinade and the portion was large, but the 'meat' in the shell was small and sometimes almost like paté. I pointed this out to the waitress, leaving a couple of uneaten shells on the dish, but there was no response from the kitchen.
Couldn't care less?
We both had sizzling chicken dishes. Nice sauces but not very Turkish in taste. Mine was OK for protein but my wife's portion was short on meat. She enjoyed the chocolate cake dessert and we shared a reasonable glass of wine.
Perhaps because this was a Saturday night the whole experience fell far short of last time we ate here (10 months ago), but maybe the management has let things slip.
Prices of the dishes were OK.
Shame about the turkish coffee!

We stayed in the nearby Kenwick Park and visited here for a Sunday lunch. They do a massive carvery and it was the best we’ve ever had! I’d highly recommend eating here, the queue for the carvery was back out the door at some points...MoreThank you for your excellent review. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. They don't have tablecloths and they don't take credit cards. So what! The food is delicious and well presented. The staff are all very obliging. The drinks were a sensible price. There is free parking outside the restaurant.
It is better to book as they get very busy. There were people enjoying birthday and Christmas parties. Nice atmosphere. Pizzas and steaks are amazing. Thank you for a lovely evening.

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Booked online as we wanted to try something a little different. Walked in and the decor was wonderful- very authentic with wonderful smells wafting. The menu choices were varied and vast. Lots to choose from for vegetarians which is great as usually only one or two dishes. I was spoilt for choice. Every course I had (and I did have 3) was gorgeous. So much flavour and very generous portion sizes. I had a traditional aubergine bruschetta to start with (divine) and then a vegetable tagine for my main course. It had lots of different vegetables in it and a beautifully flavoured sauce. Dessert was baklava which was fab. I would definitely make time for a meal here- staff were polite, knowledgeable and really friendly.

1st visit here, and won't be the last, after a slight hiccup with the 1st table we were seated at, (probably the worst in the restaurant) we moved to a much more preferred one, staff were very obliging and no probs there, the food was great!! Couldn't fault it at all, was truly delicious, and plenty of it, loved every mouth full, Budweiser on tap too loved the decor and the music was great!!!

We called in here with friends for a lunch. The drinks and lunches were fine. We had panini and jacket potatoes and they were well presented and tasty. The only problem was the closeness of the tables but this could not be helped as the cafe is quite small. Would I go again? Yes I would as I was happy with what we ate and drank..
