Visited for wings and a beer...the usual. Our server was Christopher and he made our visit very enjoyable! He was extremely courteous and polite and knew his menu perfectly. He answered our questions and took care of us with professionalism....not a given with servers nowadays. The beer was cold and the wings were hot and seasoned perfectly. We will visit again and will always request Christopher!

We had lunch here on a Saturday, they were busy...we were seated quickly. The food was good, the staff are very friendly, and checked on us, numerous times. They have a good selection, of local beers...We will eat here again...!!!

I entered this restaurant with a bit of trepidation since it was a sports bar. It ended quickly because of the excellent service provide by an attentive server who knew the menu. The Redfish, broccoli and gumbo were just plain delicious and worth the price. The place a bit loud because of all the TVs but what do expect for a sports bar. I will return to this very good restaurant.
There was a great selection of beers available here with a very "irish pub" feel. We were walking from a local hotel and were hoping for dinner too, but no food served on location.

The atmosphere in this little cocktail lounge is wonderful, though as another reviewer mentioned, the music could be a little quieter. The bar staff were pleasant and very helpful and the beverage menu was quite extensive. The mirror room is definitely as must visit if you are in Alexandria.

In years past we often had Sunday brunch at the Holiday Inn restaurant. Everything was ideal. Fast forward to current times with full renovation of the hotel and new restaurant. We were three couples dining there after church last Sunday. We were the only diners in the entire restaurant. Our waiter was good and took our orders promptly. Then we waited and waited and waited for one hour. Finally our meals were served. Three of us didnât complain about their meals. They had a sandwich rollup, a hamburger and a shrimp pasta dish. Three of us had less than pleasing experiences. We had seafood gumbo and steak. The guy who ordered the gumbo couldnât eat it because it was loaded with heavy salt and spices and far more sausage than shrimp. He could only taste two bites, then each of us at the table supplemented his meal. My husband and I shared an 18 ounce steak which we requested to be medium rare. Our steak was well done and very highly seasoned to the point we couldnât fully enjoy it.. We all felt like the costs of our meals was above the norm. We didnât complain to the staff, however we wonât be returning.

Spirits is not your average restaurant. Since opening in the Garden District on the corner of Texas Avenue and Jackson Street in 1967, it has evolved into an Alexandria institution, a place where you can enjoy great food, great service and great live musi
Went here with a group of friends from work. It was a nice surprise, the establishment was bigger than I expected, with good decor and atmosphere. There was a patio area and live music as well. Food was very good as was the service provided by Pam.Only downside for me was the limited number of beers on tap, although there were numerous bottled options. Thank you for the great review! We do have 4 rotating taps so the next time you join us we will have something new for you to try!
