Carencro (/ˈkærənkroʊ/; historically French: St.-Pierre) is a small city in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is a suburb of the nearby city of Lafayette. The population was 7,526 at the 2010 census, up from 6,120 in 2000. Its name is derived from the Cajun French word for buzzard: the spot where the community was settled was one where large flocks of buzzards roosted in the bald cypress trees. The name means "carrion crow."

On a recent trip to Cajun country, we were short on time and decided to try Taco Bell instead of a sit down restaurant. We were shocked at how filthy the place was that night. One person ordered the pizza and it seemed to have been made the day before. All in all, as far as Taco Bell's go, this one was a disappointment to both of us.

There's not a lot you can say about a Taco Bell if the restaurant is well run and clean, and this location is well run and clean. I just wanted to mention them in a review because I find the employees at this location to be very friendly compared to the other locations in Lafayette. Our daughter went to school pretty near here and we would stop in now and then before or after a school event or a ball game. They have always been friendly, the restaurant is almost always very clean, and THEY ALWAYS GET OUR ORDER CORRECT which is a miracle at a Taco Bell.As for our meal yesterday, $10.56 fed three people. The food was tasty and hot. We could have ordered the same exact thing in a Mexican restaurant and paid more than twice the price but we are not food snobs! Taco Bell will never be a five star white linen restaurant, but if you want decent food for a great price this location will not disappoint you!

Excellent food. Tamales are some of the best weâve had. Tacos and chimichangas were delicious as well. Beans and rice very nice, not your average retried beans. The salsa is perfect, not too hot, but a nice kick. Great prices on draft beer. Very good service.

Not my favorite place. Itâs just ok. Typical Mexican food. Nothing special. But priced higher than most places I eat Mexican. They buckle and dime you. Charge extra for every little thing like a cut up jalapeño, sour cream, etc. Not a very big place & tables close together. Not too kid friendly. Service is ok and place clean. Nothing special.

Bad , Bad, ribeye steak. Over cooked. They brought two different steaks and they didn't even taste or look like a ribeye and over cooked on both steaks. Such a disappointment.
