Had a business dinner with clients. Table was ready when we arrived, excellent service from seating til leaving. Appetizers all well prepared, favorite was beetroot supreme. The wine list was extensive & per my colleagues, the recommended wines were excellent. I had a Szarac, which was very good. Everyone else had steak, and described it was done as requested. I had redfish and it was one of the best I've had. The Bonaparte dessert was also very good.

Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Zagat's 7th ranked steakhouse in America, Mr. John's and the new Desi Vega's Steakhouse. Due to the success of Mr. John's, Desi began to look for another location. He chose one on St Charles Avenue (formerly Mike's On The
Desi Vegaâs offers solid steakhouse fare in a classy, updated environment. We enjoyed our visit but our experience was a touch unbalanced. Iâll explain. The room is all style. Very clean lines. Not the slightest bit pretentious or overdone. But it does get loud when the place fills up. Our service was mostly steakhouse professional but there were some significant misses. For whatever reason, they could not get our drinks right. The cocktails were slow coming and did not come at the same time. They brought us the wrong wine a couple of times. And in the end I had to remind them that we bought a bottle of wine. The wait staffâs execution was just simply off. The food was all good. Expensive steakhouse prices certainly. But all good. The servings were generous. We did not love the apps (who dat shrimp), but it made up for it with the peanut butter pie for dessert. All in, you pay a premium at Desi Vega and we enjoyed it but would not return. I think the service errors were incidental and not to be expected.

Chophouse New Orleans has crafted a niche by serving a USDA Prime-only menu including chilled Carpaccio, expertly broiled Filet and a monster 40oz. Porterhouse for two. The restaurants relaxed sophistication complements the great food and bustling, live e
Nothing less than a five is fair. Service is informal and friendly, but competent, prompt, and fun. The menu is short and simple. Steaks... incredibly good. Lobster (regular and fried, which is unusual, both noteworthy), and the special tasting menu, expensive but priceless. Delicious. Atmosphere old fashion, clearly a steakhouse; but you are not required to wear coat or tie... but could and would feel comfortable. Tables a little small for the amount of food you will put on them... Fun and involved piano player (not sure if he is there all the time)... good music but not too loud for conversation. You won't leave without spending a pretty penny (or dollar) but its worth it.

I thought they did everything really well. The food was exactly what you'd expect in a steakhouse. I thought the portions and prices were more than fair. The service was great. I will be back on my next trip to the city.

Went to Dickie Brennanâs 19 years ago and had a great meal, so we were looking forward to dinner here while in NOLA. Food was fine; steaks were tender and cooked as ordered, triple chocolate cake was very good, and sides were all goodThe ambiance and service however left something to be desired. The restaurant was extremely loud, making conversation difficult. Before traveling 1000+ miles to Louisiana we checked the website regarding the dress code. It stated no shorts, tee shirts, sneakers, jeans. What a farce - both men at the next table were wearing shorts and tee shirts and many other diners were similarly attired. I believe if a dress code is stated, it should be enforced. We made a point of bringing appropriate attire - clearly s wasted effort. In addition, we communicated the dress code to friends who planned on joining us and they had to cancel since they had only brought casual clothes. After making the effort to bring appropriate clothing and missing the opportunity to dine with friends, it was s disappointment to be surrounded by patrons who could have come directly from the gymService was mixed. We were ignored for about 10 minutes after arriving and the wait staff took an overly friendly attitude. It seemed they alternated between hovering over our table and ignoring us - very disconcertingWe were very disappointed by our experience. We had anticipated a nice elegant dinner but instead found the atmosphere and fellow diners to be what might be expected at s fast food establishmentDear Mary,Thank you for telling us about your recent experience at Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse. We were very disappointed to see that your visit was not to the standard that any guest visiting should expect. Please feel free to reach out to us at https://www.dickiebrennanssteakhouse.com/contact/ should you like to discuss your dining experience in more detail. Thank you for your time.
