Opelousas is also the third-largest city in the Lafayette-Acadiana Combined Statistical Area, which has a population of 537,947.

Stopped for dinner. Awesome selection. You gotta like fried food . We grabbed 6 crawfish boudin balls for lunch. Scrumptious!! And, we took a couple of 6 packs to be heated up later that evening. Great taste of Cajun country here!!!

Don't let the fact that this is a donut place fool you. Their plate lunches are the star. On Fridays they serve a fish couvillion that is the best restaurant meal in all of Opelousas. The fried fish is so light it floats on air. It is served with a fish couvillion ( fish stew) over rice that has just the right spices and heat. The tasty potato salad that comes with it cools off your taste buds and of course it comes with a piece of Evangeline Made bread. The portions are huge for the price. This place is fantastic!! Best kept secret in Opelousas.

This place is a miracle. It should have been out of business by now. The employees are ugly rude and the food is nasty. It's dirty and poorly run. The chicken batterer was outside in his dirty apron and dirty hands smoking at the front door. If he didn't wash the flour off his hands to smoke I'm sure he didn't wash them after either. Stay away. Corporate needs to intervene or this place is going to close.

I used to be disgusted by Dominoes Pizza. Are you on I-49, near exit 18? Want a fantastic pizza in just a few minutes? Avoid the traffic of Lafayette, do yourself a huge favor and GO to Dominoes, 937 Creswell Ln, behind Burger King. Okay, so it's take-out only, but, it's worth it. I've eaten the other pizza in Opelousas; no comparison. Hands down, Mr. Mike does it right!
