We were heading back to Texas from Lake Charles the day after Christmas and really wanted great margaritas and Mexican food. (The restaurant we wanted to go to at the Nugget was closed.) I googled restaurants in Sulphur and found this restaurant to have good reviews. It was easy to find, right off the interstate. We did not care for the parking lot....it needs some TLC. But inside, it was a treat.....plenty of warm chips and okay salsa. The hit right away was the margaritas......glad we both got a large, frozen....very good! We decided to go all out and got the fajitas for two, mixed, including shrimp. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and had left overs to bring home. Our waitress, Summer, was great! We will be back.

With all the good reviews we just had to try this place, but, it was a terrible disappointment. We took friends here and were embarrassed. The food is very bland. Enchiladas were decent but they were smothered in something like tomato sauce with no flavor. I wanted a gordita and they didn't have any. Saw that on another post, so it appears that it needs to be removed from the menu. I ordered pork tacos, and it was like dry barbeque pork, terrible. One guest had chicken enchiladas and complained it was filled with hard-dry small pieces of chicken. The chips and salsa were good and that was about all.

Miguel's nachos are a fabulous mixture of chicken and/or beef, banana peppers, olives, jalapenos (if you want), Alfredo sauce, tomatoes, cheese and a wonderful type of chip, all melted together and simply delicious! I usually get a large order and then eat the leftovers for a day or two because there's so much or if I'm with someone, we'll split the order. This is one Mexican dish that i will heat up and eat later because many of them aren't as good as a leftover. Another favorite item is the mini-fajita salad. I liked to get mine mixed (chicken and beef) and just love the guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes all mixed together to form that wonderful taste to eat on the taco shell. Of course I always add jalapenos. YUM!

So Lake Charles' Casa Manana decided to branch out to Sulphur. So I figured I'd give it a try. The food was comparable to the LC location and the fajitas were fine. The decoration of the place is questionable. Service was slow and what do they make their salsa with, ketchup? No need to for me to rush back in here.
