Reviews on Cafe food in Lafayette, Louisiana, United States. Founded by the Acadians in the 19th century, the legacy of Louisiana's French, Spanish and Caribbean ancestors comes together in Lafayette, creating a city with, amongst other things, a vast selection of restaurants serving everything from spicy po'boys to crawfish etouffee. With its lively street festivals, impromptu Zydeco concerts, historic plantations and food markets where locals still order their plate lunches in Louisiana French, Lafayette is the heart of Cajun country.

Dwyer's was always a place i wanted to eat at, but never made it on time. The lunch selection is varied and portions humongous. The food is delicious, the fried chicken and smothered steak outstanding. I now have it on my favourites list.

Serves breakfast only. AKA Broken Egg Cafe.
Since I've been diagnosed with a gluten allergy, going out has been a challenge.I read on a gluten-free website Another Broken Egg is one of the best places to eat. Yes, it did not disappoint.I opted for gluten-free pancakes with an order of bacon and eggs. I had the one with the fresh fruit and whipped cream. The pancakes were so good I could not tell if they were g/f or not! Yes, that good! The bacon was cooked crispy, not burned, and eggs were good. Their coffee was excellent as well.My only complaint; since we were dining the first time, we were given a complimentary order of beignets. Unfortunately, I was not able to enjoy them b/c they were not g/f. My dining partners did enjoy them and yes, they looked good. Since they have an expansive g/f menu, seems it would be easy to make a g/f treat for first-timers.Would try again. Thanks for stopping in and taking the time to write this review! We are thrilled you enjoyed our Gluten Friendly Pancakes and hope to see you again!

We stopped here for breakfast and we were totally surprised by what we experienced. Great food. The chicken biscuit with gravy was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

I think all they do is lunch??? I have been here only a handful of times but every time I enjoyed my sandwich. I especially like toasted bread sandwiches and I had my bread toasted here. They even had dessert which was nice to sit and drink coffee while eating dessert after lunch. I think I closed down the place last time I went because we ladies sat for so long having such a good time.
