Once we left I realized the sign said "famous" Blood Mary's not the best. One one I ordered with top shelf vodka was super cheap, but served in a styrofoam cup with a straw. The celery and olives were hidden under the lid. While Frank's Blood Mary may be famous, it's the best. Maybe at $6 they are famous because they are cheap.

Went looking for dinner in Thibodaux and stumbled on Alumni Grill...Tuesday evenings from 5-9 the smoked 12 oz steak dinner is $17.00. Awesome. The 1st steak was prepared a little too done for.my.lking so the manager asked me if I wanted another medium rare. The second steak melted in my mouth. I wish I snapped a picture but it disappeared! Very very good...we will be back!

Tonight we went to Grady Vs with friends and boy what a waste of time. We arrived at 6:30...there were 5 of us. There were about 5 or 6 open tables when we walked in...the place is small. We checked in told them we needed a table for five and she said it would be a few minutes. After about 5 or 10 minutes passed a very large group of people came in. They apparently had reservations...we did not. The staff mumbled with each other a bit and they started putting tables together for this large group...then they were seated. Another 20 minutes passed and we are still standing there. Several people had walked in behind us and then disappeared....I didn't pay much mind to them. After 30 minutes of waiting, I went to the hostess and told them we had been waiting for 30 minutes at this point and there were 2 empty tables...why couldn't those 2 tables be put together for us. We were told that due to the amount of large tables that were already seated they wanted us to wait so that the kitchen could catch up. After another 15 minutes passed and we were still standing there...45 minutes now...I walked around to the bar area and guess what...all the people that came in after us were in there and they had food!! You would think she could have mentioned to us that we could eat at the bar right!?! So as I walk up to the hostess to tell her we were leaving she said...we are just getting ready to seat yall. Really!?! I told her we were leaving and how unhappy we were that they couldn't put those two tables together for us to feed 5 people because the kitchen was "backed up". But they could feed the 12 people that came in after us at the bar. Terrible customer service.i know that the food is good but customer service goes a long way with me. This was unacceptable.Melissa, I am personally very sorry for your experience! I completely agree that the misinformation you were given by our team was likely frustrating for you and your group. Our kitchen is always very busy and backed up, a result of demand. We are and should be prepared for that. While I look into the details of this with our staff, my goal is to get you and your group back to Grady V's so you can turn this into a 5 star review. Please email me at [email protected] with a way to directly correspond with you. Thank you for taking the time to comment and help us improve!Regards, Grady VerretOwner

We visited New Orleans and took a weekend day trip outside of the city for a swamp tour. On the way back, it was way past our lunch hour, so we stopped in Houma. Bilello's was easy to find, and the adjacent fenced parking was very convenient. Even though we arrived a half hour before the afternoon closing, we were welcomed and promptly served. I had a local bottle of beer, and ordered an Italian poboy. Based on our server's recommendation, I also chose the potato salad. The beer arrived with an ice cold mug. The sandwich was a delicious thick stack of meat and cheese (salami, ham, provolone) with an olive dressing which was not overpowering. The potato salad had a mustard and pickles flavor that was refreshing. The service was great, and our server even provided recommendations for New Orleans entertainment and night life.
