Theriot's is Cajun Restaurant/Deli that was originally open as a corner grocery store in 1941. We started serving lunch in the early 1980's along side the groceries then slowly evolved in to a Restaurant/Deli.

I have lived in New Iberia for 5 years and have probably eaten here 100 times. My husband LOVES the lunch here. The food is good home cooking, reasonably priced, cafeteria style, served on Styrofoam containers that you can use for eating in or taking out. Nothing fancy here, but good food at a good price from the Theriot family. The Monday red beans & rice with sausage are perfect. Just like my grandmother & Mother cooked. The daily fried chicken is fresh, crispy, and a great value. The fried fish is delicious and never greasy. Other entrees include country fried steak, grilled chicken or fish, & shrimp stew. They have meatballs & spaghetti on Thursday which is nice as we have no Italian restaurants in New Iberia. The side dishes change daily as do the deserts. During Lent, they are open on Friday nights and their fried seafood is delicious and a great value. You will see the locals here-the police officers, the lawyers from the nearby Court House, the working people of New Iberia. Enjoy your visit.

A perfect place for lunch. Fresh homemade soup and terrific sandwiches. You can have some great tea or if you prefer, a beer or a glass of wine! If you want to do something different, stop in the afternoon and enjoy a glass of wine or a beer and some cheese from the fabulous selections in their case! This is the place if want to treat yourself but not feel stuffed. They will also prepare your order for carry out if you so choose. You also might want to check out the schedule for various events that take place in the evenings such as wine and cheese tastings, beer tastings and every Friday night is trivia with prizes for winners! It definitely a must visit, pleasant surrounding and friendly people!

The usual suspect. Word to the wise though - There are two Subway's in NI and the Main Street location is by far the better. The Admiral Doyle location is not a good representation of the franchise.
