I've eaten there several times. Love, love, love the burgers, shrimp po-boys and shrimp creole. Daily specials vary and are also very good. I'm partial to the spaghetti and chicken enchilada casserole which they also sell in the freezer to-go. The MEATLOAF in the freezer is AMAZING...so are the boudin stuffed chickens. I stop in my way home to New Rhodes to get something to heat up for supper. It's Port Allen's newest secret!!
Driftwood is a the perfect local place! It feels high end, but at the same time feels homey and comfortable. The Chef does a great job trying out new things. The beer list is never ending. The bartenders and staff are beyond friendly. Highly recommended!
I really wanted to give this place a good review. The staff was nice. But on our second time visiting,I ordered a salad with shrimp. The bartender specifically asked how I wanted the shrimp cooked. Got to the hotel room,no shrimp. Called them, they said come on over and get it. Husband went over and he was told I never ordered shrimp. Came back with nothing. If you made the mistake, which I know the bartender knew she did, then rectify it. Will not be back.

This restaurant has built a great reputation for making great hamburgers and po-boys. We visited twice last month, enjoying the sweet potato fries with burgers, and on our second visit, enjoying shrimp and oyster po-boys. Hard to beat great food from this place!

The signature dining venue is a full-service, distinctive restaurant specializing in exceptional steaks and seafood in a comfortable setting and style fit for Huey Long himself. Restaurant closes briefly between 2:00pm - 5:30pm daily, but re-opens for our
Wandered down from my hotel room for the breakfast buffet. Fair price and great selections, including applewood smoked bacon, sausage, home fries, fruits, oatmeal, breads and rolls, as well as cooked to order omelettes or eggs - included juices and coffee. Hard to find a better breakfast value. Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Wish that I had the opportunity to try them for lunch or supper, but had other engagements.

My wife & I discovered this jewel many years ago, after passing it by for years. This is now a highlight of any trip to Baton Rouge or New Orleans. The food is wonderful and the service is always great. You would really be passing up a great dining experience if you don't stop at Camile's!!

Went there for dinner at the hotels recommendation, and were pleasantly surprised. The food was great, right along with the service. The staff was really friendly, it was clean and had a large selection of food. Would highly recommended the alligator appetizer that they have.

Great place to grab a quality meal and a beer (or two) close to campus. Wide menu options and great service hit you right away. The beer menu is VAST (with an Around the World experience available). The grilled pork chops and buffalo chicken were excellent. Prices were very good and service was on point. Plenty of seating options. There is very limited parking on the street, but there is a lot in the rear of the building (on Chimes St). Lemon Ice Box pie was also a hit! Great student hangout, but also great for families.

When you go to a restaurant famous for anything, get it. We visited Lloydâs twice while visiting Baton Rouge for a wedding. The first visit we ordered seafood, and well, there is no sea in Baton Rouge so I donât know why I did that. The second visit we ordered a roast beef poboy and it was excellent. Just as good as any New Orleans poboy I have ever had. The restaurant is a very old school diner type and very enjoyable. The staff are all very nice and will conversate with you all afternoon if you give them the chance. Definitely a must do in Baton Rouge.

Visited during LSU graduation weekend. Food was terrific, service was excellent. Had recommended scallops, cooked to perfection but for the price it could have been 4-5 scallops on plate, not just the 3 each of us received. had contacted restaurant hours prior to visit to request some type of special dessert for our grad, identified ourselves when we arrived, used name of general manager to server from email reply we received, and.........nothing. Same dessert any other diner would have received
