Authentic Cajun BBQ restaurant in River Ridge, Louisiana - just 20 minutes outside of New Orleans. We buy local, so you eat fresh!
Checked this place out on recommendation from a friend that shares a mutual love of Cracklin, Boudin, and Meat. He did not let me down. The cracklin are the best I've had in this area in a long time. I also had a Brisket plate - their brisket is on par with my favorite BBQ place in New Orleans. The sides were pretty good also. The service was fast and very nice as well.Woot woot, thanks Josh!

Every weekend we go to Daisy Dukes in Metairie for breakfast. the place is clean, the food is excellent and the service is great. the early bird breakfast is the best value in town... there are a lot of breakfast options, but this is the one we like the most by far.

"Restaurateur Ed McIntyre Has Done It Again, With This Creole-Italian Restaurant Located In Metairie. A Nice Wine List And Top Notch Service Make This Neighborhood Restaurant As Good As Any Would Find In The City. A Must For Anyone Looking For A Restauran
We were in town visiting family and had gone to the Audubon Zoo to see the Christmas lights. We wanted dinner but everything in the downtown area had long waits. Rather than try someplace on a chance, we decided to go back to Metairie (family lives there) and go to Austinâs as it has always been great. We called ahead for reservations and they would seat our party of 6 with a baby in 30 minutes....perfect timing! This visit was as expected... great drinks, wine, appetizers (try the BBQ shrimp!), and entrees. I had the prime rib..absolutely perfect in every way. Our server was great as well and handled our every request. Why take a chance....go for the proven and try Austinâs.

I should first tell you the staff get 5 stars. They are all wonderful and will go out of your way to help you in any way. A 5 star staff deserves a 5 star restaurant, not this swill. The 'eggs' are those vile things that come out of a carton. Not an egg carton but a milk carton. Those processors use the eggs that can't be sold, the cracked, damaged bottom of the bottom industrial farmed crap. They then ultra pasteurize the life out of them. Very sad. White toast from a Wonder bread clone, Or a Bagel with the texture of a hamburger bone. People kept asking for whole grain....nope. The 'biscuits' frozen and so loaded with sugar that they were truly inedible. The sugar must have been used to cover up the flavor of the preservatives and dough stabilizers and did I taste soy isolate? The 'gravy' tasted like a mix, the grits clearly instant. The bacon wet cured, not smoked. I came on and read all the responses from the manager saying she would pass them onto the Executive Chef. One of two things are true, He or She is lazy and does not care to make a decent breakfast OR he or she does not give a __________ about the diners. Maybe both. Most guests had vouchers for breakfast but if anyone had payed for this swill I would expect them to raise hell. I have worked as a restaurant consultant for years and helped places just like this to both cut costs and use real food. It can be done.

Home of the Original Charbroiled Oyster!
After reading all the negative reviews of the Poydras location (in spite of many personal recommendations from locals), we decided to go to the Metarie location instead. The service was excellent and very friendly. Of course, the reason to go is the chargrilled oysters, which my husband ordered. I am not an oyster fan, so I had a shrimp remoulade po'boy, and it was very good. I did try one of the oysters, and, indeed, they are delicious. We went early, (11:15ish) and by the time we left, the restaurant was full, so it is a popular place. The Metarie location does not take reservations.

If I lived nearby I would be a regular. Super friendly staff. The food is outstanding. This day I had the Boudin Balls and Seafood Gumbo. The Boudin Balls were very good. The Seafood Gumbo is special among the best I have ever eaten.

Itâs so sad that one overzealous bartender decides what everyone else likes or MUST like these days. On this evening, I started my first attempt to eat the Kenner location of Zea Rotisserie & Bar. I ordered a drink at the bar, asked for a âMoscow Muleâ. Anyone can google and find the ingredients of this drink even though there are variables. The young lady brought me a drink with cucumber and mint smashed drink that I was about to throw up. I hate both mint and cucumber in my drinks. I asked for a âPlain Simple Ordinary Good Old Moscow Muleâ. She told me that she must make it the same way but she can strain the mint and the cucumber after she makes it, canât help with the smashed cucumber. Thatâs my only choice. So I left!Ended up at the Clearview location because I love their food and thought may be the overzealous bartender is only limited to the Kenner location. I WAS WRONGI escaped the mints but the smashed cucumber and a slice of cucumber was still in the drink.THE MOST ARROGANT PART WAS THAT I WAS CHARGED FOR A DRINK CALLED âFRESH MULEâ NOT MOSCOW MULE WHAT I ORDERED.About a year ago, I had a conversation with the bartender at the Kenner location and he told me he came up with this new idea on this drink and he might offer it to customers who wants it. Well, now itâs the law. This OVERZEALOUS bartender is shoving in your throat a drink that he doctored himself with smashed cucumber and even changed the name of the drink. If you order a âMoscow Muleâ you will get a âFresh Muleâ. Oh well, as much as I loved the food here, I canât go anymore. I canât drink a drink with mint and smashed cucumber.Just for an idea: You could put it in the menu for the customer to make a choice whether he/she wants a Moscow Mule or a Fresh Mule! Or, just ask the customer if he/she wants a regular drink or a doctored drink by the overzealous bartender???The last I checked, a restaurant is part of the hospitality industryWe are very sorry to hear about this regrettable experience. We will pass along your concerns and hope in the future you will be able to give us another shot. Please feel free to contact us if you desire to.

Visiting for Jazz fest and ate here for one night. Our waiter Jimmy made the night! He gave us recommendations from drinks to apps to the main course. We pretty much all ate from the list of specials for the night but everything was incredible. Definitely the best we had eaten on our trip and none of our meals had been disappointing. Five stars all the way!
