We chose Rock-N-Blues cafe after trying to go to another popular restaurant in Covington, because of the noise. On a Friday evening we found quiet ... the place was empty ... literally, no one else was there. But, we had excellent service. The bar is fully equipped, and the burgers were great! Lots of choices.Live music is on Saturday evenings. We will return. I bet there will be a lot more people then!

Funky family friendly atmosphere serving up delicious food made from scratch with love. Bring the kids to the ShackYard to enjoy covered outdoor dining and yard games for kids of all ages, open weekends. Wednesday Night: half off bottles of wine. Friday N
I've had the fried avacodo tacos and the veggie burrito and both were quite good. House made corn tortillas on the taco were delicious as well as the jalepeno apple slaw. Very creative menu. Super casal placeThis place really is like a shack - terrible wavy floors and somewhat kitchy decor and not so professional wait staff - but a group of friends who lived in the caribbean and know how to cook. Their Moscow Mule is made with fresh ground ginger and not ginger beer and is the best I've had on the northshore. They run specials and will text you coupons, etc. Live music on the weekends.

Recently visited The Half Shell with a family member. We ordered a dozen raw oysters and the crab cake appetizer. The oysters were extremely small and dry. The crab cakes were small, pan fried and had a below average flavor. We ordered bisque and half fried oysters and fried shrimp. The bisque was excellent, shrimp were good, oysters were way over cooked. Drinks were good, along with the service. Very nice atmosphere. I will not return due to the food quality. Very expensive for what we received. For the prices, quality should have been much better. Dear tmitchell38305,We are so sorry to hear about your experience at the Covington location. Grilling burgers since 2013! Voted Best Burger on the Northshore by Nola.com and The Times-Picayune!
Craving a juicy burger and Mugshots hit the spot; including their beer fries! It was so big that I wasn't able to finish my burger and left a heaping of fries on my plate. I almost asked for a knife and fork the burger was so large. The toppings were excellent: chopped fine red onion, pickles, mayo and melted cheese!!! Hit the spot just right. Also had the root beer float which was equally as delightful!Wow! Thanks for such the great review! We hope you come back and see us again soon.

Ate dinner here on New Yearâs Eve. Was outstanding. Our new favorite restaurant. The food was crazy good. Wife and I had the wedge seafood salad and seafood trio for starters, pompano and redfish for entrees, lemon tart for dessert. Nice bottle of wine at extremely reasonable price too. Everything was perfectly prepared, service friendly and efficient. Fun ambiance too. Loud and rowdy, our kind of place. Will return for sure.

This restaurant serves fried and broiled seafood dishes as well as Louisiana dishes including etouffe and jambalaya. The food is good and fairly plentiful but may not live up to expectations based on the long-standing reputation of the original restaurant. (Sorry) It's also at or above the mid-range in cost, especially if you order drinks and desserts. The dining area is a large open space that has televisions mounted in the corners of the room.

One of three Chimes locations.
We stopped here for lunch after I found out there was another Chimes open up, this time in Covington, and on the river there. It didn't disappoint. Service was amazing and fun after the main lunch rush had passed. Every question we had was explained or answered and everything ordered came out amazing and delicious. Can't go wrong with the blackened gator at the Chimes. Everything was amazing. Can't wait to visit again.

Travelled here from Pensacola just to get some Turbodog on draft and was very happy I did. Great pub with delicious food and best beer in the south. Located right on Tammany Trace across from Abita Springs Park. Gotta check out the 1884 Pavilion. Come for the beer, stay for the ambiance.Highly recommended!
