1st time trying their Dallas Filet, but cook missed the medium center (it was rare). Mannie, our server immediately took them back to go back on grill. Ate our sides & when they were brought back; mine was grey & overdone...my husbands was perfect! Unfortunately, they put mine on on same amount of time as his. The manager, Brittany Hamilton, brought to table & saw as well, & offered to cook me another one. We were too tired and hungry to wait for one, so my husband split his with me, so we would both have some of the good one. Britney the manager, ended up discounting my dinner, as well as bringing me another steak which I had to take to go and went over and beyond what was necessary. We would definitely go back.

Driving from Florida to Texas and stopped here just for the salad dressing. Good on anything. Fresh regular house salad and super nice staff. Place is clean and decor / atmosphere is true. Fun bicycles hanging from ceiling and vintage carved wood bar. Not a chain restaurant!! Only had salad this trip. So 4/5. Didnât try anything else- was to full.

Truly Louisiana, you will find our fresh cuisine, lush foliage and decks overlooking Bayou Bonfouca, an experience that is second to none!
We had the good fortune to secure a table for Sunday brunch at Palmettos. This is an experience that we look forward to repeating for many years to come.First, service from Dee was outstanding. She offered us tips on what to be sure to experience on the buffet, and they were spot on.Second, the food combinations and pairings on the buffet were ideal. As one of many, smoked Gouda cheese grits paired with tender beef tips au jus. This will be in my memory forever as a favorite combination.Third, the atmosphere, landscape, and vibe conspired to win us over quickly. We did not order any, but the eggs Benedict looked fabulous. I am saving that for my next visit!Well thank you so much for this kind review. Dee and the rest of the team here at Palmettos work hard to make sure that every customer has an experience as wonderful as yours. We look forward to the next time you stop by for a visit. We will make sure that there is an eggs Benedict waiting for you.

We're a cajun/creole restaurant that specializes in scratch made gumbos, fried seafood plates, poboys, pasta dishes, chargrilled and raw oysters, and beignets.
We are locals and kept seeing positive reviews so we gave it a try. My wife is not a fan of spices so we always avoided trying this place. Since they passed us a sampler tray my wife was more comfortable with ordering and requesting not spicey. Our food was very tasty and meet our request. Very nice staff that was friendly and extremely efficient understanding our needs before we requested. We would recommended this place for a casual and enjoyable meal whether you like spicey or mild.

They have great appetizers, with the chicken spring rolls a great choice. The eggplant and shrimp pasta is to die for. The veal cutlets over pasta is extremely good, and for $1 more, you can add another piece of veal. My favor is the Filet...comes out on sizzling platter!

"Crispy fried seafood and daily specials, seafood stuffed bell peppers, stuffed artichokes, boiled seafood. Good-size portions".
Peck's is one of our favorite places to eat fried seafood. It is always fresh and served quickly. We did notice on our recent visit that the seafood platter had been reduced in size and the price seemed to be up some.
Lester's Seafood in Pearl River, LA. specializes in fresh seafood and meals that feel like you're sitting in ya' Mama's kitchen. We believe in simple, yet well done meals, and huge portions at reasonable prices. We're not a fancy place, just somewhere you
Food is fair at best, beware of the price, what is advertised is not what they charge. Every time you go, there are new waitresses. Don't seem to know what to do,not well trained. What's wrong with this place that they can't keep staff? Not worth the effort to go to Pearl River. Much better restaurants in Slidell.
Very good service by Preeti. She has worked here for 12 years. Her friendliness and experience shows. My food was great! Love the raspberry cheesecake cookies.
This is our favorite breakfast place especially when traveling and they are everywhere! They are fast and friendly! My spouse always gets the waffle with bacon and I always get the all star special. This is the best value: 2 eggs, grits or hash browns, bacon, ham or sausage and a choice of several toasts or a biscuit. I get the waffle, always pecan, to go and eat it later on the road or take it home and cut it into 4 sections and pop it in the toaster. They make the best basted eggs I have ever eaten. They always get them cooked just right! I have never gotten a bad meal at Waffle House except a couple times when I ordered my eggs soft scrambled. I think they are in too big of a hurry to cook them soft scrambled so I now order them poached or basted. The bacon is crisp and flavorful, the hash browns your way can be scattered, smothered, peppered, diced and capped and are delicious. You can also get them covered and one other way too. I will let you read the menu to figure this out. Their cheese (American) is not good, My spouse hates their coffee and that is the only negative. I drink coffee in my milk so cannot tell and usu just order ice water anyway.Their friendly greeting is sometimes a bit startling first thing in the morning but it comes with the meal. Always order a large OJ bc it is the same price as a small. Double check first but it has been true so far. The juke box is now gone and was fun and I miss the nostalgia! Noisy dish sounds but food is good! There are many more choices including steak, pork chops (yum) chili (yum) and burgers but we usually only go for breakfast. Their aim is to get you fed and out of there and on your way.

Based on a recommendation from our hotel, we decided to try NOLA Southern Grill for dinner. My dinner started with disappointment when I discovered that fried crawfish were no longer on the menu. I opted for fried shrimp and my husband had the fried pyster poor boy. Both were good, but, it wasn't crawfish. I found my shrimp a bit salty, but the star on the plate was a melt in your mouth hush puppy with whole kernel corn. Yum! By the time we left, the restaurant was very full. Lots of larger family groups.
