Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Puerto Varas. Explore lovely, compact Puerto Varas on foot, the best way to take in views of Osorno Volcano and the wooden colonial homes built by German immigrants in the early 1900s. Several are designated as national monuments. Located on the shores of Lago Llanquihue, Chile's second-largest lake, the village is the low-key antidote to the Lake District metropolis of Puerto Montt and serves as a jumping off point for fly-fishing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding and sea kayaking excursions.

small restaurant located in the center of Puerto Varas, next to the municipality... The best pizzas and burgers.
If you're craving a cheeseburger after a long day of hiking, this is the spot. A little loud with the music, but the food hit the spot and they were accommodating towards our awful Spanish.

If you want a late night drink, Orquidea is your best bet. Most everything else in town closes by like 11pm, so this is the go-to spot. I went a couple times during my stay in Puerto Varas. The first night it was pretty packed. Lots of older, drunk guys. A little on the sketchier side. There was also karaoke going on, but people were singing from their seats. At least stand up! I drank their house white wine which was okay. Nice bartender. The second night it was dead upon arrival. The dance floor got going at one point, but the entire place emptied out by 2am at which point they kicked out me and my friends. If you want to have a drink with your friends, you should come here. But if you're solo and trying to meet people, good luck.

Was told this place had the best sopa de choritos (muscle stew) and pisco sours in Chile. Pisco sours were certainly different as had fresh mint leaves that could have been mulled as part of the preparation. But we returned primarily for the choritos, and that dish was superb. Plus, the proprietor and his wife were really nice people.

This is a Burger House, you will find the best Burgers in Puerto Varas here! Can´t miss it. Puelche Burger Bar
We decided to eat here as this was our first night staying at the hotel Puelche. We understood that the hotel had recently franchised out the running of the restaurant to an outside organisation who had taken over about 2 weeks earlier. They were offering 20% off food as a promotion. There were flyers to this effect in the hotel and we were also given the same in the town centre of Puerto Varas. When we first arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by a charming girl who spoke very good English and who we understood to be either the manager or even the owner of the business. We ordered our meal which came and the food was simple but good. There were only 3 other people present in the restaurant. The waiter lit a fire outside and a couple with 2 small children came and sat and ate outside. After we finished our food we waited for the waiter to ask if we wanted a sweet (which we did) but he ignored us seemingly more interested in his fire. Eventually we gave up and asked for the bill which came and we paid (including - with considerable hesitation - a 10 % tip). We then realised that we had not been given the 20% discount. We were offered various incentives in its place but eventually were given a full credit and new bill in the correct amount. We spoke to the girl who was in charge and explained that the waiter had ignored us. What was sad was that she had been nowhere to be seen whilst all this was going on. No way to start/manage a new business. The whole episode was rather an unpleasant experience. On a positive note the food we had was good. If I may offer some constructive advice, the girl in charge needs to be on the frontline in the restaurant overseeing the staff and they should concentrate on the food and the customers rather than messing about with the fire pit outside which was a complete waste of time as there was no one there to sit round it anyway. I hope the business venture succeeds but I would not put any money on it. We feel very sorry for your experience, this is no excuse , but all this comments help us grow in a positive and better way to achieve a great service and hospitality. Constructive opinions will show us the way to be great. We hope to see you for the next time and change your mind on us.Thank you

what I loved is that this place doesn't set out to be anything it's not.it's a local beer hall, with a lake view, a wood burning stove which makes it extra nice on a brisk fall day in the south, lots of beer options, smart staff, and a simple menu with very nice burgers.will definitely go back

We enjoyed a great dinner here. Fab location with stunning views! This place is huge! Reasonable prices. We had the calamari, artichoke dip, and a vego pizza. All generous and delish! All delivered by friendly staff. Lots of beer on tap and the lemonade was fresh and not too sweet! No English menu but no problem as the staff were ready to help! Great night out!

We dropped into this cute little bar while walking around the city as it was near our bnb. Planned to order drinks only, but did get some bao. The pisco sour here was hands down one of the best we had in Chile. The bao was definitely a departure from other bar offerings and we enjoyed the baos we shared, beef, vegetable, and pork. I liked the small, friendly setting.

We walked to this fabulous restaurant after reading about it on Trip Advisor. We went when it opened (6pm) and had it all to ourselves. The owner was very nice and provided menus in English. The food was amazing and super reasonable! I had Chilean style beef tacos and the hubster had the best salmon burger of his life! Highly recommended!

Went here for a meal on our last night of a 4 night stay in Puerto Varas, wish we had discovered it earlier, lovely Pizza accompanied by cheesy chips and a bottle of Merlot for just over £27. Grate views over the lake and he staff were really friendly and helpful. Would certainly go again if we were staying longer.Thanks!.
