Looking for something memorable? Bruno's is certainly memorable. Simply sensational lunch at Chez Bruno- the Michelin star truffle restaurant. 5 courses including truffle amuse bouche, truffle caviar, truffle potatoes, lobster bisque with truffles and even two truffle inspired desserts! To think they go through 5 tonnes of truffles per year!
Do yourself a favour! Arrive with an appetite as you'll need it!

Well, this restaurant is recognized as one of the better ones in Lorgues. And they also call themselves "Restaurant Gatronomique".However, this evening the quality was a bit fluctuating.
The "menu Marché" is normally a good choice with 4 dishes to choose from in starters, in main and in desserts.
We had a beef carpaccio (ok) and a sort of crab cocktail with avocado. Unfortunately this was totally filled with very strong onion pieces, and there was no other taste left than strong onions. The dish was changed without problems to carpaccio. The salad to both starters seemed not to be really fresh with a lot of brown corners. The bread served was uninteresting in spite of very good bakers in town.
The main dish was Entrecote (perfect, with fine sauce and fries, and this time with fresh and crispy salad?) and the other choice was a sort of chicken yakatori/skewers. This dish, which was the main dish of the day, was not made well - the chicken had never seen a grill, and it was cooked meat, not fried. Unfortunately also one of the pieces was almost raw!
The desserts were absolutely fine and tasty. We had a good red from Domaine l'Estello to join our dinner.
And the service was as always kind and helpfull. The price for "Menu Marché" is also reasonable, if the raw materials are fresh and they are prepared in a good way.
This night we were a little disappointed for above reasons.

En plein centre de Lorgues, mi-terroir mi-contemporaine notre cuisine est de saison a base de produit frais decouvrez egalement notre bar a vins et l epicerie fine le comptoir de Pol
Booked this restaurant prior to our annual visit to Lorgues and we weren't disappointed. Both had the 27 Euro tourist menu, the fish main course and tarte tatin dessert were fabulous. TIP - The house red is supplied locally via the very well respected Chateau de Crostes and is a great tipple for 18 Euros. If you are visiting Lorgues stop by you won't regret it.

La Table Du Moulin
5 Rue de Climénes
83510 Lorgues
Tél: 04 94 73 98 87
We have been here several times, because we like the food and also the rustique local.
And again we had very nice food selected from the small carte, which besides the "a la carte" also offer the choice of 2 menus.
We were 4 and we selected menus and we could even switch between the dishes in the 2 menus (at a little extra cost).
Then we had a local red to join the food. And we all agreed that is was a really nice meal.
The service was as always good.

Restaurant and wine shop (wines to take away)
After the push and pull of the Tuesday market we escaped to the peaceful side street cooled by a Fountain and dappled with noon sunlight. A bottle of rose' to accompany a delicious light lunch made for a perfect two hour respite. Recommend le salade oceane for lunch and try the Colonel (lemon sorbet and vodka) for dessert. Now off to our busy travels again.

"Le Bistrot de Benjamin" Where authenticity rhymes with hospitality. Château de Berne's new Chef Benjamin Collombat is at the helm of our Bistro too! Le Bistrot has maintained all of its former friendly, family-style atmosphere and now offers typical local cuisine reminiscent of French classics. The menu features various new creations and dishes to share, together with our traditional, must-do pizzas garnished with seasonal produce. The indoor lounge set around the fireplace has been extended for the greatest pleasure of our guests, while the outdoor Terrace, covered and heated in the chillier months and adorned with parasols in summer, will continue to delight all the family. Our Pastry Chef Laure Platiau offers a palette of sweet gourmet treats to savour throughout the day. Dishes from €12 Open every day from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Lunches served until 2 p.m. NEW: Le Bistrot will be prolonging the pleasure until 10 p.m. in peak season! (From June 15th to September 15th)
We arrived at the Château de Berne around 1 pm on a Friday. The property was bustling with people and the Le Jardin de Benjamin was where the action was. We asked for a table and were given a beautiful and private table overlooking an area of rolling hills filled with vines - truly magnificent. We than embarked on a gastronomic journey that was made all the better with the rosé from the vineyard - served nice and chilled.
Each tasting plate built on the next and every bite was an explosion of flavour and deliciousness! And, the bread and the butter - beyond words. I could live off that alone until my heart stopped!!!
The menu changes regularly so there in no use in describing the individual plates. Just know that in typical French fashion at Michelin starred restaurants, the service, pace and presentation are part of the experience. If you are in the area, don't miss this quaint but fabulous establishment.

A small restaurant with a very nice outdoor terrasse (on a warm day or evening). The menu is italian inspired (but I doubt that the chef is Italian!).
We had pizza's. They were big and with good toppings, but the dough was not the real pizza dough, so the pizza's quickly went from crunchy to soft and humid.
But there are several other stuff on the mnu than pizza's so maybe we must try something else next time.
We had a good local redwine to a fair price.

Fresh pasta specialities Italian cuisine in the old Town. Shop of italian food Open all year long. Home-made cuisine
I have been to this place a few times. Sometimes the service has been ok, sometimes it has been pretty poor. It is also a confusing place. There are two restaurants, one that serves pizza, one that serves pasta. There is a vague demarkation between the two with some pot plants. The same waiters and waitresses serve between the two yet woe betide you if you suggest one of your party would like pizza and the other pasta. It makes no sense at all, they use all the same utilities but believe the two foods should be entirely separate. As a result our party split and two had a pizza and my husband and I had a pasta dish with our son. A pot plant separated us and we shared some of their side dishes with them to the disgust of the waiting staff.
Our waitress was initially lovely, she then swapped to working on the pizza side and the waitress that had been unpleasant to our friends on the pizza side joined us on the pasta side and continued her unfriendly service with us. A real shame. The restaurant would be better combining both restaurants to provide both types of dishes, if they are unable to do this for some weird reason they just need to work on their service.

Staying in Lorgues for two weeks, we eat here on five evenings; which says it all! Highly personal service by the patronne and one skilled helper. Highly personal cooking by the talented patron / chef. The 28 euro menu is excellent value, the wines well chosen, the prevalence of fish on the menu excellent (for the three of us). Not really suitable for children -- the choice of dishes is commendably small (which means that for this small restaurant, everything is local and fresh). Reservations essential.

I have visited Le Bistrot twice and both times had a great experience. It's simply a treat. The menu isn't extensive (which is a good sign) however includes something for everybodys taste. The food is delicious and pure quality. Sitting outside enjoying the silence and surrounding with a glass of wine, well it cannot be better.
