With pleasant weather year-round, Loreto invites you to come outside and play. Less crowded than some resort towns, it's a great base for snorkeling, sport fishing or just relaxing on the beach. Annual whale migrations draw massive crowds in springtime.

This brew-pub/Mexican restaurante is an excellent restaurant located in downtown Loreto, Baja. During our one week in Loreto we went for dinner here twice, and I had a burger both times. Peraonslly I preferred the traditional burger over the blue cheese burger but both were worth it! My husband enjoyed sampling the brewpub beer options. Highly recommend!

I stopped by for lunch after a back massage next door. The waiter wasn’t very prompt, but he seemed to be the only wait staff so that was understandable. I had the pasta with clams. Excellente! Very generous clams around the sides of the dish and tossed with the pasta. Plus a Cadillac margarita. Very tasty, and a pleasant restaurant on the plaza

Great flan for dessert. Garlic remoulade with chips and assorted sauces to start were also fun. Service and view made it a perfect afternoon. Didn’t want to leave

Upstairs with a fabulous view of the Sea of Cortez, the Terrace offers open air dining at it's finest. Inside offers the same view if wind or rain brings you inside (rare in Loreto!). Fresh fish, local clams, pasta dishes, steaks, Mexican food and so much more! Please join us to enjoy the best in Loreto.
Had a some interesting dishes here. Excellent presentation and very good. This is a nice place, just not inexpensive. Four instead of a five because the margaritas were not great. Had to go back to the bar to get some additions. Met the owners (from...MoreI'm glad you enjoyed your dinner but surprised you weren't happy with your margarita. In almost twelve years, you are the first to complain about one. Come back and let us make you another one! Carol and Lee

Adequate seafood, poor tres leches, hard sell on time share unexpected and unpleasant
After many years since we last visited Loreto we were happy to see La Palapa was still operating as our memories of good food were reinforced. My wife and I enjoy sharing tastes, so on our second visit this trip we mentioned we’d like an extra plate to make the sharing easier. Well, the kitchen prepared us four “half-portion” plates of the two entrees we had ordered for the price of just two entrees. The total food was certainly more than two entrees and it was so much fun. Service was excellent, and that evening we enjoyed a serenade by strolling guitarists. You start with a really generous lazy susan of chips, green and red sauces, a freshly prepared salsa piled high, and some scrumptious pickled onion rings I wish I knew how to make. Be sure to try their Pollo (chicken) en Mole, it is sooooo good. If you haven’t had a mole, it will be a new treat you’ll order again. It is a non-sweet, very flavorful sauce with chocolate as the base. Not every Mexican restaurant makes this very regional treat, but La Palapa does. Hope to eat here the next time we are in Loreto.

Serving excellent Mexican Food since 2009, we open from 7:30am to 9pm.
Orlando's Restaurante is always one of my first stops when visiting Loreto. The restaurant is open air Seating and tucked away on a side street. Whether going there for breakfast, lunch or dinner the food and service are consistently good. The portions are generous and you will not leave hungry. My nephews like the fact that they could order pancakes in the middle of the afternoon. You can't go wrong with any of the selections. The fish is fresh and cooked to perfection and the tortilla soup is favorable. I always add a frozen margarita to compliment the meal. But save room for dessert, because adjacent to the restaurant is the best ice cream shop in Loreto.

Stopped by on a whim the other day. (The whim was my friend who was driving who couldn’t decide where to eat since it was Monday and many restaurants were closed at lunchtime. I had three quesadillas, each with a different filling. My friend, being adventurous, ordered the same thing, kinda messing up this review since we only had one entree. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and is willing to please. Overall, not a bad place for a lunch stop.

Los Olivos Restaurant, located on the second floor of La Mision Loreto hotel, serves a range of fine foods, including special recipes prepared by our chef, as well as features a spectacular view of the Sea of Cortez. Beautifully and conveniently situated on the waterfront in the historic district of charming Loreto, Baja California Sur, angle parking is available on the street in front of the hotel, as well as it is easily accessed by those who walk or bike, from the malecón (esplanade/boardwalk) just across the street. Open every day from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM for your convenience.
This morning my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at Los Olivos Restaurant. The food items were a combination of traditional delicious Mexican dishes, along with a wide variety of fruit, personally prepared omlettes and pastries.
We were able to dine on the patio overlooking the Sea of Cortez. It was a fantastic experience!

Coffeeshop with Baguettes, pastries, blend drinks (Frappe) cookies, pays, cakes, Salami, Jam and Chiken baguettes you can eat inside the place or to go.
Being from the Pacific Northwest, I am pretty much a coffee snob but the espresso was expensive and not satisfying. That being said, the atmosphere was nice and staff was friendly. I'd just opt for a drop coffee and sit and chat awhile. Nice looking...MoreThanks for your comments, they help us improve our performance
