We stayed in a 2 bed hillside villa which came with a private pool and indoor natural spring spa. Our stay was only for one night as part of a road trip. We extended checkout to 2pm. The location is beautiful and the entrance lobby of the hotel very grand. As another reviewer has stated when the resort opened it must have been very spectacular. The villas are hillside and are accessed by taking an electric cart. You then need to climb a couple of flights of outside steps to reach the villa. There was no help for luggage, so as we stayed one night we left our suitcases in the car. The villas due to location do not have parking, hence the electric cart from the main car park. The building itself needed some attention doors not closing properly, slightly musty and showing wear and tear due to ageing and poor quality construction. The showers did not drain due to the tile base sloping in the direction of the door. The villa was generally clean on the whole, comfortable beds, fresh linen. The swimming pool was not the cleanest but okay. Spa was large and spring water hot (we were allowed to refill it twice). The Chinese restaurant was popular and we ate a set menu. Food was average and slightly disappointing. Although, it did enable us to try some local signature dishes. The restaurant was somewhat tired looking and there was no attention to detail. Breakfast was in the 'Western' restaurant which was much brighter and had a fresher feel. There was a wide choice of Chinese dishes. The Western selection extended to sausages and cheap poor quality bacon. Overall, the food quality and range was disappointing for such a resort. But they are catering to the local market, not ex-pats. As a family we enjoyed our stay and it was needed relaxation on a long journey. The children loved the pool and had much fun. The spa was also lovely and large enough to fit the four of us. I am reviewing this from a Western perspective and would suggest that unless you are travelling with a Chinese person or have Mandarin skills I would not recommend staying here. As language was not a trouble for us we didn't encounter issues. From a Chinese travellers perspective this resort would appeal much more.

Four of us came here just for the day to use the hot springs spa, not to stay at the hotel. It cost about 130 RMB but it was worth it. The place is kept up very nicely and has a huge variety of heated pools to enjoy, including many up the hillside that are surrounded by bamboo and other trees. There is also a lot for children to do, though we were all adults and did not take advantage of that part of the spa. There are lots of staff people out and about serving tea or water or keeping the place clean. The locker rooms and showers are immaculate. Teas and juices and fresh fruit in the little café inside the spa are included in the cost of admission. We live in Dongguan and it was about a 90-minute drive both ways. Super relaxing and, surprisingly, not super crowded.

Poor Service, the food menu is too poor and there is no warming system as so I can't understand whoe this Hotel can be open in the winter with temperatures around 2C and there is not enough cloth on bed ... too bad. Even the slipers are not the ones usually used in standard Hotels ... this Hotel can only good for people that probably have a very poor house as so they consider it good Hotel, but for people used to travel around the world this Hotel have too poor conditions!!!

Visited for the first time last weeked, chose it out of many other nice resorts in Nankunshan area because it offered indoor and outdoor children's activities. The resort is big and new, rooms are large and furnished in modern style, with large balconies, each with a sofa and a good size pool/hot spring. Great touch are the blinds which ensure privacy when out on the balcony/in the tub as well as a fan to keep you cool in the hot months(not seen this in other hot spring hotels). The grounds and buildings are very well kept and maintained though we did see some areas, which were under construction and looked messy, smelled of paint, water in a small canal was polluted and the area around the water park/outdoor playground could be nicer as looked quite rough.Overall though, very impressive and saw plenty of staff around keeping areas clean. Staff at reception and in the restaurant, pool were all polite and some spoke English. In terms of pool, the one near villas was under maintenance which meant the other one was packed. No kid's pool as such but we still managed to use the available pool a lot with our toddler and had a fab time. No shading provided but the pool is surrounded by buildings, which even though not particularly attractive looking ensures more shade at various times of day. The hot springs were nice and we particularly enjoyed the private jacuzzi. The area was clean, tea was provided but the choice was not great so if using hot springs is your priority, better go somewhere with a larger choice. For us it was perfect though. The indoor playground was fab!Only 38rmb for however long you wish to stay, we had the place to ourselves! No idea why other parents weren't using it(loads of kids around)as it has many toys/activities to keep kids happy. Our toddler loved it. We did not use the water park, go karts or outdoor playground because our baby is too young and also because the price is quite high-78rmb per person. That's unreasonable, especially when the weather is so hot outside and not many guests are likely to use those facilities(that part of the resort was almost empty). We were disappointed that we would have to pay just to use basics like swings, which should be free in my opinion. The breakfast buffet and dinner were both great! If you like Chinese food, you would really enjoy the choice, quality and value for money. Evening buffet had a Filipino band playing English classics, which was nice. Everything except for sushi was tasty.Desserts were particularly impressive, included ice cream. Don't compare this to international hotel chains, no cheeses or expensive hams on offer but I still found the food very appealing and satisfying. Drinks were a big let down though. Teas were nice but juices were all sugary, made from concentrate, not freshly-squeezed. For the price though-excellent value. Overall, we had a fantastic time and are already planning to go again. During weekends the place is packed, bear this in mind when booking. Area outside is not nice, however there are a couple of great restaurants next door/opposite serving delicious Hakka food. I wonder when the other pool will re-open and what else is being constructed on site?
