Sitting on the Gulf of Guinea, the port city of Lome serves as the capital of Togo, a sliver of a country in West Africa. Famous for the friendliness of its people and the beauty of its countryside, Lome is the perfect place to relax after exploring Togo's hills and forests. White beaches are lined with hotels, while the interior of the city offers a series of markets for avid shoppers. Visit the Grand Marche for colorful Togo fabrics or the Fetish Market, which sells protections from evil.

Pros:The rooms are decent; ideal for budget travellers. Great location about 1 km away from the Ghana border and not far from the entertainment district ( Boulevard du 13 Janvier). I like the Live music on weekends.
Cons: although the food is of a good quality, I find it a bit over priced for Lomé. The same thing goes for the drinks. The manager ( the older guy ) is nice but the younger French girl can have a nasty attitude sometimes.
Conclusion: over all, it is worth staying there specially for people who want to see the night-life in Lomé.

We visited midweek with a friend, and dined at the early end of the evening. It was easy to get a table, and we seated immediately. As others have said, while the name is German, the restaurant actually offers a very wide range of dishes. I had a German offering, the Bavarian sauerkraut plate. The sauerkraut was nice, but didn't seem house made. That didn't get in the way of my enjoying it, however. It came with a bratwurst and frankfurter, and several preparations of pork. Kind of a sampler platter, garnished with a couple of small boiled potatoes. Very tasty, especially when I added a little of the proper German mustard they placed on the table.
The other two at the table ordered fish dishes, which were both wonderful and done in a very French version of West African style. Everyone loved their food, which was expertly served and wonderfully plated.
I had an ice cream dish for dessert, the others had crêpes, whose sauce was made and flambéed at tableside. Very classy, and a skill for waiters that is increasingly hard to find around the world.
With drinks, main dishes and desserts, it came to about US$20 a person. It was a great meal made even nicer by the excellent price. A first trip, we are all can't wait until we can return.

During my first trip to Lome (1month) I ate here for at least 20 days. The waiters, the cooks, the owner of the restaurant, the ambiance. Everything was into tune. The experience was amazing. Try the fishsoup and let the cook prepare it a bit more sharp. Also try the beef, the crab.. There is so much I can say about the restaurant but the best summary will be: magnificent!

Love this place! The pizzas are light and delicious and the price is just right. There is a room for the kids to go play in while waiting for the food. They have movies, video games, table with coloring pages and pencils, chalkboard, books, etc. My kids enjoy playing there while mom and dad get to enjoy a mini-date :)

Grabbed lunch here with a group of colleagues. It's about 20 minutes from the center of Lome but worth a drive to see the clean beach, palm trees, and the Atlantic up close. The restaurant is quite casual, the seafood fresh and good. Overall a nice place to get a meal and relax.

Comfortable hotel restaurant with impressive modern French cuisine. The table d'hôte offered, while visiting, a foie gras burger,
Great service, attentive wait staff. Prices in line with 5-star hotel restaurant (not Lomé street restaurant, so don't be surprised!). Beverages are slightly pricier than usual 5-star hotel restaurants.
Limited Seating. Dress code en vigueur (no shorts, no flipflops). Piano bar and DJ later in the evening.
Located along the beach, just outside city center (1-2 km east). Free & secured parking.

Cote Jardin is a perfect destination for high quality food and drinks. The owners to the wait staff to the chefs are excelent, friendly and well equipped to serve your every need. The ambience is inviting and you are greeted by the resident parrot, who is curiously fun and entertaining. Try whistling and see if he responds. Highly recommended eating establishment

One of the best restaurants in Lome. A little out the way, but better than most - and very reasonably priced.

We went for date night and were blown away that this place exists in Lome. The live jazz band was amazing, with a very talented singer and a full band. The ambiance in the restaurant--the decor, the service, the food--we could have been in any city in Europe. We had delicious food and look forward to returning soon!

When you go to the Philipat ask if there was any catch of the day - the owner usually goes out fishing once or twice a week and the fish is top quality. The pastas are also excelente - I suggest lasagne au saumon. And a gin tonic to go with.
