Riverbank is a licenced bed and breakfast in a former public house built in approx 1839, and stands on the bank of the river Irfon in Llanwrtryd Wells. Riverbank was completely refurbished from top to bottom during 2019-2020. We have five individually designed ensuite rooms, including one on the ground floor. Some of our rooms have views over the river. We have a comfortable licenced bar for the exclusive use of our residents (and their friends and family) and we stock a range of Welsh ales, ciders and spirits. Set in a 100-year-old Welsh cottage with thick stone walls, Maes y Gwaelod is 1 miles from the village of Llanwrtyd Wells and 3 miles from the train station. The cottage is nestled in 20 acres of scenic countryside and situated down a quiet country lane which leads to the forest trails of the Cambrian mountains. Free WiFi is provided in each room at Maes y Gwaelod, as well as a private bathroom, flat-screen TV and countryside views. The property is also home to dogs and horses which live in the on-site barn. Guests are also free to bring their own horses which can be accommodated. Packed lunches can be provided on request.
