My 91 mother and I have just returned from 3 nights at Bryncelyn. We had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to come back. Our rooms (2 interlinking rooms sharing a modern en-suite with walk-in shower) were spacious and very comfortable. Lorna and Ian were the friendliest, most helpful hosts you could wish for. The breakfasts are delicious and included warms croissants, fresh fruit salad and full cooked breakfasts with vegetarian and vegan options. Being able to arrange to have an evening meal at Bryncelyn is an added bonus and Lorna is an excellent cook.

My daughter booked this trip for me because we were going to the Wonderwool festival in Builth Wells. When we looked at hotels in the area, this one just stood out! So very glad it did because we found everything perfect. The Hotel setting was lovely with a beautiful relaxing garden. Our rooms were so homely and comfortable and we had one of the best night's sleep ever! To cap it all, the breakfast was one of the best we have eaten in any hotel provided by our lovely hosts who were so friendly, welcoming and compassionate.

Nestled in the heart of wales, the trout inn is a stone's throw away from the little explored Cambrian mountains, whose hidden delights include the devil's staircase track and the Llyn Brianne reservoir, with scenery rivaling that of the Elan Valley.
We stopped on route for a break on our way to a family wedding. I had gammon and chips which was amazing. The rest of my family had burgers with definitely homemade chips. Chips were great! We would highly recommend. Friendly staff and good service.

Riverbank is a licenced bed and breakfast in a former public house built in approx 1839, and stands on the bank of the river Irfon in Llanwrtryd Wells. Riverbank was completely refurbished from top to bottom during 2019-2020. We have five individually designed ensuite rooms, including one on the ground floor. Some of our rooms have views over the river. We have a comfortable licenced bar for the exclusive use of our residents (and their friends and family) and we stock a range of Welsh ales, ciders and spirits. We also offer secure indoor overnight storage for bicycle and motorcycles.
We stayed in Llanwrytd and Riverbank by chance. Both totally exceeded any expectations. Llanwrytd is a pleasant town set close to the Cambrian mountains and the road to Tregaron. But Riverbank is the star. We were made very welcome by the enthusiastic owners who couldn’t have been more professional. Beautifully decorated with excellent facilities and representing real value for money. We understand that the nearby Drovers Rest has good home cooked food.It was closed on the 4 June ( our stay over) but is strongly recommended.

We were not staying at the hotel. We visited only for dinner. We've rated the dinner and wine that we had at Lasswade Thu 3 Sep 2020 as Excellent. Because it was. A good choice of wines. We accepted the Chef's judgement and the wines selected accompanied ourfood choice perfectly. What more do you say or need? Other than to go and sample it for yourselves.

This is a super clean and cosy b&b situated in a tranquil part of Wales. Great for family walks and reconnecting with nature. Every view from every window is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery is second to none. We explored the pretty local area of Llanwrtwd Wells (officially Britain’s smallest town as we discovered on our trip!) We also visited other towns nearby including Llandovery which was a 20 minute drive away (The Kings Head pub is fantastic there) and we also drove to Tenby Beach for a day out which was 1.5 hours away. This was a fun day out in a lively seaside town. Steve and Jane are very welcoming hosts and Steve makes the best breakfast!! We enjoyed our experience so much that we are planning to return next spring. Thank you Steve and Jane for your fabulous hospitality! Emma, Simon & Oliver
