The Mount is a family owned 12th century inn in the heart of Wales. We have nine en-suite rooms including family, quad, triple, double and twin rooms and one with disabled access and bathroom. All rooms include a home cooked breakfast. We also serve freshly made food at lunch and dinner time every day using quality local ingredients to make scrumptious dishes. Real ales, wines, ciders and lagers are available from the bar as well as a range of other drinks to suit all tastes. We also serve freshly ground Illy coffee and 28 different flavours of tea! In the heart of the inn the snug area includes a tiled floor originating from the castle as well as 600 year old settles forming a secluded area to meet up with friends to eat and drink. There is also a family and games room with a pool table and large screen TV showing select sports including rugby, football and F1. Families can dine here and keep an eye on busy children who can help themselves to the toy box or board games provided. There are golf courses and clay pigeon shooting ranges close by and for bikers there is the chance to partake in Geraint Jones Yamaha offroading experience. There are also some excellent cycling routes in and around the area to enjoy. Dog walkers are more than welcome at The Mount. Two self catering Holiday Cottages (sleeps 5 + 4 persons) Aubrey's self-contained Bed and Breakfast accommodation (sleeps up to 8 persons) The Clochfaen is set in 20 acres of private woodland. This little explored area of the Wye Valley offers superb opportunities for fishing, and excellent walking and cycling tours making it perfect for a rural getaway!
Have just returned from an overnight stay at Aubrey's at The Clochfaen whilst attending my cousins wedding in a local village. What a super little B&B, spotlessly clean, quiet and welcoming with comfy beds with crisp fresh bedding. Kevin made us feel very welcome and was very attentive. Breakfast was fantastic, delicious fresh fruit salad followed by our choice of hot breakfast cooked to order. Will definitely be staying longer next time.
