Slovenia, wedged between Austria and Italy, has always been proud of its unique heritage. The capital, Ljubljana, is a perfect example of this blend of German, Mediterranean, and Slovenian culture. The old town is a blend of Baroque, Renaissance, and Art Nouveau buildings, watched over by a medieval castle. Cut through the gardens of Tivoli Park to the National Museum of Contemporary History for a history of modern Slovenia, featuring crumbled statues of Stalin and a recreation of a WWI trench.

Located by the river, beneath the castle and between the two central bridges of the city, Meščanka apartments (pronounced 'Meshchanka', meaning City Lady) offer you the perfect place to stay to discover Ljubljana. You can choose between rooms, studios or fully equipped flats, all with private bathroom. The clean and cosy premises were completely renovated in 2011 to blend a great mix of old refurbished furniture and modern interior design. Come and stay in Meščanka and you will feel why people fall in love with Ljubljana.
You cannot get much more central to Ljubljana than this (though just be aware it is a pedestrian-only zone so staying can involve some significant suitcase dragging across cobbled streeets!). I fell in love with my apartment here as soon as I set eyes on it; it was so quirky yet inviting and an intriguing mix of modern and classic styles. Had everything I needed and I wished I could have stayed longer. Staff were helpful in terms of storing my luggage when I arrived early, offering recommendations and booking me a taxi to the airport, though could have been a little more relaxed and friendly about it! Only real complaint is that reception is only manned on very limited hours and I didn't have anyone to contact outside of these, as I had done staying in other apartments in Slovenia; main issue with this is I had serious concerns about catching my booked taxi due to the Ljubjlana marathon, and on attempting to call the firm myself got someone who barely spoke English!

We had a fantastic stay in this super modern apartment which overlooks the whole city. The owner is very helpful and had a few suprises for us during our stay. You can park your car deep under the building where it'll be safe. The town is near but far enough for a healthy and pleasant walk. There are shops and bars in the hood and it's stone throw away from train and bus station. Highly recommendable.

Free WiFi is available. Guest rooms at the guest house are equipped with a seating area. Some rooms have a kitchen with a fridge and a stovetop. All guest rooms feature a desk.
Nice and warm room with New furniture, but we can not sleep all night long, due to big party in next room. Bathroom is not so clean. We do not use kitchen. Good price, but it was unfortunately too noisy in our case.

Sumptuous apartments in the heart of the old town between the castle and the river. Well designed with an artistic touch given by recognised Slovenian artists. A perfect combination of comfort and authenticity for an unforgettable stay in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia.
What an awesome apartment at the top of this house! We loved all the details and it felt so cosy and „homy“ in this flat. The furniture is a beautiful mix - from modern to antique. The kitchen is fully equipped incl coffee pads. And there is also a washing machine. Great. We will come back

Tutto sommato siamo rimasti contenti.

Staying in a small room on ground floor for 2 nights, just a very short walking distance to the lake, around 10 mins. Even though room is small but feel comfortable and quiet. Peter is so nice and gave us good suggestions. Would like to stay again if we come back to Bled.

Housed in the historical building "Zois Palace" by the Ljubljanica River, Zois Apartments offers stylish accommodation in the heart of Ljubljana's old town. Great cafes, restaurants and bars are just a few steps away. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property.
Great location, apartment spacious. Few things let it down. Bathroom ceiling plaster coming off in chunks daily, which left a mess....no broom. Had been told, cleaners would come by every two days with fresh towels, didn't happen The beds were the worst, would have been best to have slept on the floor. Room advertised cable TV, didn't, approached the service provider company, they were not helpful. We could no longer stay another night, four nights were enough, we ended up leaving earlier than planned. Would we recommend this place? NO Would we return NO If these issues were addressed? NO Why not? The visitor book had mentioned these same issues for year's.

We stayed at Trnulja for 4 weeks and had an excellent time. The eco-apartments are cozy, comfy, sustainably designed with an incredible attention to detail from an ecological perspective. The food is absolutely amazing (bio/organic ingredients from their farm). The sauna & wellness is a must-do for couples! We also loved wandering in the bird sanctuary which is a short walk away. The location is great: you get the peace and quiet from the "countryside" whilst being able to go to the centre of Ljubljana (and the rest of Slovenia) easily. Urša, Miha and Katja are great people who made our stay very enjoyable. What a fantastic experience. Thanks a lot, we will be back!

I had a business trip to Ljubljana and Marta Studio was recommended from a colleague as the closest and nice place to stay for a week. I was pleasantly surprised by the room, though overall the place did not look luxurious. The attitude and the concern of the owners of Marta Studio to the guests is very important issue, which attitude in the big hotels you cannot get. The place is relatively close to the center and is convenient for a business trip or for a family that does not have many claims that the apartment should be luxurious. The price is good and I could stay another time there.
