Liverpool's fortunes have historically been tied to shipping. But imports and exports like sugar, spice and tobacco pale in comparison with Liverpool's most famous export of all—the Beatles. Relive the hysteria at the Beatles Story Experience, and check out Paul's childhood home, but also leave time for exploring Liverpool Cathedral and the Walker Art Gallery.

Where do I start? Booking the accommodation was so easy—you can actually get through to someone on the phone which is a rarity these days.I contacted the hotel again a month later to reserve a car parking space—again this was all sorted promptly and efficiently. We checked in on line and I put my arrival time as 11am.I didn’t think our room would be ready for us but it was!Our room was spotlessly clean with everything you need for your stay.A well equipped kitchen, new sponge and cloth (some self catering places we have stayed in you are left with an old dishcloth!)Its all about attention to detail for us I asked for a quiet room—yes it’s a city centre hotel but our room was overlooking a courtyard and was so peaceful. The hotel was fully booked as it was the Rolling Stones concert but it was so quiet. Arriving back from the concert we were met by the night receptionist who took our names before allowing access to the hotel—-excellent security. The car park is great—you walk from the underground car park right in to reception so no dragging bags in the pouring rain The hotel is right in the city centre but driving in and out is so easy with no complicated city centre roads to navigate. The hotel is close to all attractions All staff we saw were so genuinely helpful We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We have travelled extensively worldwide and with my job too and Staycity Liverpool Duke street is right up there as one of the best Highly recommended I posted this review on the Liverpool Waterfront Staycity by mistake. This review is now on the correct page for the Duke Street Staycity

Booked for my sons 30th birthday. Not in Albert dock as I had thought but on reflection the yacht club is perfect. Staff were so lovely.it’s very secure as the dock can only be accessed via keycard. The boat is a really cool alternative to a hotel. Netflix, dvd’s and everything you could need. 15 min walk or so to Albert dock. I would definitely use it again.

The guest house is clean and quiet, which I could gladly recommend my friends and anyone , looking for a guest room, that is value for money and at the same time, located centrally near local buses , not too far close from the city centre.

So to start with this was a rearranged Mother’s Day that should of happened in 2020 but was understandably postponed due to Covid, so anyway it went ahead today and it was absolutely AWFUL.! Because they originally refused to pay back the money (£30 each) after it was cancelled due to Covid it went ahead today, sat there for 3 hours without any entertainment apart from head banging music, finally got our dinner served with what I can only describe as “scrags of meat) and it was freezing cold! Then we got a supposedly “magic mike” style show which I’m pretty sure wouldn’t of even made it in The Grafton they wrote that bad. Followed my a compare who was that drunk nobody could even understand him so he started calling the crowd for everything as they had had enough of him slurring his words! Followed by a Bulgarian “comedian” who was that bad got sent off stage by the compare who stated he would pay him just to leave the stage. All in all it was an absolute waste of a Mother’s Day, I wouldn’t recommend The Sandon for anybody. It was obvious they got the cheapest and worst entertainment around due to the fact the had to “honour” the money they refused to refund everybody who paid in 2020. Absolute joke of a place and the management should be ashamed.

The Vines Pub known locally as The Big House is one of Liverpool's most historic pubs,a pub I always enjoy visiting . The pub is superb ,multi roomed ,lots of ornate dark wood features, pubby decor and furnishings,an island style serving bar ,tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,the pub also offers accommodation ,all in all a great pub to chill out in. We were here on a Thursday evening,my twin brother and I ordered guinness, these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle ,we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. My guinness was really good,a thick, creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness bursting with taste ,it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality pint of the black stuff. We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Vines Pub is easy to locate along Lime Street and is most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Can’t even put in to words how much I do not recommend this accommodation. I’ve actually stayed at Base serviced numerous times in Liverpool and never had an issue until I booked two apartments in 2019 way before the pandemic hit for summer 2020. When it was clear we weren’t able to go due to travel and ‘bubble’ restrictions I made several attempts to get in touch with establishment. Ignored emails, calls, eventually had to raise dispute through booking and got nowhere. Only willing to postpone in 2020 which none of us were happy doing due to pandemic and despite several attempts pleading to accept a postponement to 2021. Their customer service is appalling. I am now raising the dispute with my credit card to avoid further contact. They have no regard for their customers. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!
