This is a good budget location to experience local Cameroonian cuisine or continental options. There are buffet and a-la-carte options to choose from. Don't go for buffet late in the evening as the food tends to be cold then.

Had a lunch at Starland restaurant and was okay. They had a buffet which had nothing interesting so I decided to go with the a la carte menu. Got a shrimp in creamy garlic sauce with white rice. Portion was big. Food and drinks are a very over-priced compared to the restaurant next door but manager said Starland is a hotel restaurant and that's why they're more expensive. Thanks very much for your honest feedback. Clients like you make us proud. We hope you will find something much more exciting when you next visit us. Alternatively, you can send us some recommendations. Regards
Piccolino e difficile da trovare ma simpatici e accoglienti i proprietari. Cucina a vista e diviso tra una sala bar e un ristorante. Menu semplice europeo e camerunese. Abbiamo provato gli spiedini di carne. Da ritornarci

I am based in Douala--making reservations, setting up conferences, helping business colleagues find good restaurants. My colleagues no longer want me to make reservations for them at the Sawa--they repeatedly showed me rooms that had a bit of odor with traces of mildew in the bathroom, ragged carpeting, somewhat untidy appearance in the halls. The lobby and restaurant are just so-so. Price is relatively high. The conference center is not bad, but somewhat small. If you go over 100 people, you will be crowded. Breakout rooms are not immediately adjacent to the main conference area.Bottom line: an acceptable (just) hotel that will likely disappoint well-traveled business people; use if other alternatives are completely booked. I would not use this as a first choice, particularly if it's your direct supervisor!

A Sea View On The Border Of The Wouri
Coming to this place is a real pleasure. The personnel is really hospitable, polite and nicely dressed. The atmosphere of the place is relaxed, a gentle breeze making one feeling cuddled.Big grilled prawns are amazing, as well as grilled "captain fish" and sole.I tried to call the number on a Sunday to make sure it'd be open - at 2pm - but could not go through with the call.I then went over with the cab, and found it happily open, eventually.
Because our roots are Cameroonese, European and Latin American, because my wife is its founder, we called the restaurant "Le Lily's Bridge". It aims to be a bridge between cultures, people and cooking. The atmosphere is cozy, private, discrete and warm-he
This place is all smiles and fantastic food â a true gem. The first smile from Albert the doorman welcomed us as he led us to a smiling Nathy and then we were served by a third smile, Danielle. Relaxed, classy, well-appointed and sophisticated yet warm and friendly ⦠not to mention a great bar. Lily, helped us translate the menu into English so we could make good choices. Lily shared her vision and fascinating story. The meal was excellent and aligned well with Lilyâs ambition of serving Cameroon based dishes with a âtouch of European classâ ⦠local flavors, foods and spices, blended with locally caught Lobster were indeed the best of both worlds ⦠along with a great, reasonably priced wine. The whole place feels brand-new and the service well done. I donât usually write so much for a restaurant, but this one deserves it. The whole experience is one weâll remember for a long time. You wonât regret a visit to Lilyâs.Dear Sir,My wife and I would like to thank you for your kind and encouraging feedback. My wife in particular was very moved by your kind remarks about her vision and where she intends to take the restaurant. Be remain sure that we will do our best to reach her objectives and provide our clients with an unforgettable experience, each time they come. Thank you, wholeheartedlyDidier and Lily
The White Horse has a large area of open sided yet covered seating. Food is buffet style - main course only, for CFA6,000. The food was surprisingly good and made up for the mediocre service and odd rat zooming in from the car park. Options included beef stroganoff, roast chicken, sauté fish, a few vegetable dishes, ndole and rice. Pleasant enough.

German kitchen
Yves the owner/chef seems like to live in the 60's. A temple for music with a collection of over 200.000 songs and a basic German food, very tasty and very good. Right place for group of people. I was positively impressed.

Ibis Restaurant Douala offers a variety of cuisine, simple and authentic on it's menu or as a buffet. Our dishes are "Fait maison" and most of our products bio certified are supplied by local producers. Our dishes '' Ã la carte'' prepared at the minute so
They even call it VERANDA.... why are they mocking us like that. It's not a veranda, it's an extension of their dining area.Yes it's in front of the pool, but hey.The food is below average. The customers service below average.Good day,Thank you for sharing your review. Best,Diane SILUE

We have been wanting to visit Saga Africa for quite a while since it looks so inviting when you pass. On a practical note itâs great you can park outside even though it is a busy road and inside you have the choice of air conditioning or not, both locations are equally atmospheric. Food was very tasty, I went chinese, my hubby went for pizza, 6,500cfa each. They do loads of local recipes which is great if you fancy Ndole or Poulet dg! Prices seemed a little high for local food, 7,500cfa for half a poulet dg and 10-15,000cfa for roast fish. We were in a large group and everyone enjoyed their meals. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful which is always a bonus. I would thoroughly recommend Saga Africa!
