Absolutely fantastic food. Took a party of 11 there and everyone loved their meal.all the guests were locals which was a good sign and the manager made a good effort to translate the menu for us.service was brilliant.they could not do enough for us even providing complimentary water for us to take away. The icing on the cake was they send a cell phone we had left behind to our hotel for no charge.we struggled with how reasonable the bill was and left a good tip.shame we couldn't get back the next night.

I ordered a coffee with milk (café con leche) and a ham and cheese sandwich (tostadas de jamón y queso). Menu said 25 and 50 respectively. The bill came out to be 45 and 75. What should have bee 75 turned out to be 115. Not sure how they got that number but for a small sandwich and a small coffee I was surprised as this place is listed as cheap. $10 CAD or $7.50 USD. Wow! It should be more of a $$ than a $. Beautiful atmosphere though.

We had a long relaxed lunch here after a morning ride into town from our estancia. The decor is very interesting with a huge amount of photos and memorabilia. We opted for three different types of local fish. All were very well cooked, tasty and not a single bone. This restaurant is apparently popular with locals which is always a good sign. We would be happy to go back there.

I came with a party of 4 to this highly recommended restaurant and am happy to say that I was not disappointed. The service was excellent, the food very good, with a few good 'tweaks' of familiar favorites. The prices reflect the stunning location (alongside the river Parana) and well-kept grounds. There is pride of ownership here and a confident security of a well-practiced customer service. Day or night, there is reward in dining here.

excelente degustacion de carnes, con diversos puntos de cocción, exquisito el anana, muy buena la picanha, habria que mejorar la calidad de los chorizos y morcillas, pero no desmerece la atención y la calidad de los cortes.

We travelled here to go fishing for Dorado and we had no idea how great Cabana Don Julian would be - for accommodation and for the restaurant - everything we had was outstanding and excellent service.

Seriously, this place is amazing. I had the top-of-the list beef steak that was as big as the waiter's soul (couldn't manage to eat everything, although it was perfect), with side dishes (rustic potatoes, fried onions, fried egg, freshly baked bread and a choice of sauces) -- costs about 7 euros (350 pesos). An excellent cocktail -- 3 euros (150 pesos). In Europe, I never are so good for this price. And the staff is really nice, the do care if you managed to connect to wi-fi you said you'd need. Nice, very nice.

Understated charm, a wide menu and very friendly staff. We stayed in the hotel and had a few meals in their restuarant. The staff were very helpful despite my poor Spanish, and seemed very happy to have English guests. We managed to find a different vegetarian meal on each occasion we ate there and the chef also made us a special salad. Set in a beautiful old house. Seemed very popular with local people.
