Family run establishment, run by the same folks for years! Homemade coney sauce is out of this world!

A century restaurant, customers love Pondi's welcoming atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. We offer steaks, salads, seafood, and pasta on the regular menu but keep it interesting with creative dinner and lunch features.

Established in 1916,the history of Pondi's Restaurant began when John Pondi was working at the factory once located across the street from the restaurant's current location. He would invite his co-workers into their home to enjoy his wife, Annie's great cooking. As word spread of how delicious Aunt Annie's food was, the group of hungry workers became large enough to justify converting the first floor of their house into a restaurant.

Pondi's survived Prohibition by making "bathtub" gin upstairs. The restaurant thrived post-World War II and became a favorite for generations of locals throughout the decades.

Matt and Jessica Borza have owned Pondi's since 1998 and are proud to honor the history and legacy of the restaurant.
Pondi's is a run down little hole-in-the-wall diner (with bar) that just so happens to have the best chicken salads in the Ohio Valley. While, the restaurant may be in need of some renovations to bring it current and bright, I believe they have an ace of a head chef in the back. We continue coming back not because of atmosphere or service but, love stopping or a snack and/or lunch on a hot summer day. They have a large selection of craft beer to whomever that may excite and a few gluten free desserts that change based on the season. If you're stopping in the colder months or are like me and will eat soup no matter how hot it gets outside, I have to suggest the homemade Italian Wedding Soup. Delicious. Made traditionally, the way it is meant to be. Price is average to cheap for items on lunch menu. Price is average to expensive (for area) for dinner topping out at about $25 for some dinner plates. Overall, I wouldn't bring anyone here on a date or for a romantic evening/anniversary dinner. However, its a nice stop for a bite to eat with no frills.

I thought from the outside brick building and the gaslight that with a sign like Courthouse Inn this place might not be a 5 star, but I was WRONG. You walk in and are greeted by the bartender who gives you a smile and a warm welcome. Then host finds you a nice table or booth. Wow what a view. I hate to spoil the interior-but it is like nothing you have seen around Lisbon. Beautiful in every way and decor is amazing. Owners are hard working, live in New York part of the month and then in this building. make sure you walk in the bathrooms. YES I said bathrooms they are clean and light and another WOW factor. You will not be disappointed. Food is excellent we had pizza (gluten free), kale salads, and eggplant. Made local and not with fillers or GMO of any kind. Desserts (chocolate cake) was moist and 2 of us split one piece. It was chilly this day but walk out back to relax, have a coffee or drink and yes they even have a stack of books for your selection to read while dining if you wish. Outdoor tables are amazing and the fireplace is so inviting. Upstairs they have a few rooms for rent and this place is well lit, safe, and worth the visit. I highly recommend the menu-it is different than most and the owners were sweeping the floor when we left, they engage in every aspect of their inn. High marks for atmosphere and food. Plan a trip soon they have breakfast, lunch and dinner you will not be disappointment. Five stars all the way!!

This pizza is the best pizza I've ever had in my whole life. I am a 63-year-old Italian woman who has eating a lot of pizza in her time including on a trip to Italy. I thought that was the best pizza I've ever had till I made the trip to Lisbon with my husband to get takeout pizza yesterday. The sauce was fantastic the crust amazing and the service was wonderful! I ordered the whole tomato pizza with provolone cheese on it it was amazing!!!! I will from here on out go nowhere but Mary's. I highly recommend it.

Very nice setting in the beautiful countryside of NE Ohio. I sat at the very comftable and intimate bar and enjoyed a nicely prepared porterhouse steak which was cooked superbly. The atmosphere was an approachable upscale feel with blend of local patrons. Certainly one of the best restaurants in this part of Ohio The prices were reasonable.

I called a month ahead to reserve tables for 40 for a retirement party. We only had 30. The party was from 3pm to 5pm, which was perfect, because they weren't busy at all. Our waitress was top-notch. She gave us excellent attention and service and made my job as party hostess 10 times easier because she was so on the ball. We brought our own cake to serve and they facilitated that as well. The 15% party gratuity was worth every penny. And the food was fabulous as usual.

My wife and I stopped in for some dinner, and to our surprise they offered a dinner buffet. The buffet consisted of a salad bar, different pizzas, a pasta dish and a hot sweet treat for dessert. The food was all pretty good and the price was really cheap. The only issue is, is that the waitress would disappear into the kitchen for long periods of time, which made it hard to get drink refills. We'll be sure to return.

We've been here a few times, and if this restaurant wasn't on a lake, we wouldn't have been back after the first time. This particular visit, the food was cold, and very bland. Even my husbands baked potato was bland and undercooked. I doubt we'll be going back after is visit.

I've taken my family to Guilford Lake Grille several times through the years. The food and service were usually pretty good. And we used to enjoy the salad bar with our dinners. We haven't been there in a while. Looks like it's time for a little road trip.
