Gaspar House is in a building from 1951, has high ceilings and the most beautiful Paquet in the world. ;-) It's located in the heart of Lisbon, 4 subway stations away from the touristic center. Subway Station "Areeiro" is right in front of the door. The Airport is only 5 minutes away by taxi or bus. By subway are about 15 min. The train to Sintra is just around the corner. The train to Belem, Estoril and Cascais is at the end of our subway line. Lisbon Guest House neighborhood is very well considered in the City. It is elegant and friendly. A certain touch „bourgeois“. I'd like my guests to get to know Lisbon as if they would be living here. Don't hesitate to ask if you'd like to know where to go, what to see, to eat or drink. For it's a 5 room flat, we ask for some attention and quiteness to not disturbe.
Spent 3 fantastic nights at Gaspar's house. Beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean, our bedroom was huge with it's own private bathroom. The host Gasper is a lovely person, so kind ,helpful and very knowledgeable about Lisbon and the surrounding areas. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful! All fresh and organic food. Great location, 1 minute walk to the metro to take you into Lisbon centre. Gaspar's house is highly recommended when visiting Lisbon.

Location and rooms are great, but there is NO elevator and we had to carry our bags up 84 stairs to get to our room. That means every time you go in and out, you are climbing 84 stairs! Needless to say, although I liked the accommodations, I would never stay here again.

Clean and tidy rooms, very friendly staff, modern rooms, clean and comfortable toilets and bathrooms. The room was nice, the bed could have been a bit better. All up a good value for money. There's is breakfast for 5 euros but I didn't try it so can't comment.

Alberto, the owner of the BB, is very friendly and gave us helpful tips to visit Sintra and neighborhood. Location is not central but good if you have car with parking in front of the street. The structure is new and very cozy.

Espaço Edla combines fine dining, tourism and culture. In Vila de Sintra, close to the train station and less than one kilometre from Sintra's historic centre. Here you will find a bakery, tea salon, gourmet delights art gallery and local accommodation. On warmer days we invite you to enjoy our outdoor terrace. Espaço Edla provides modern and confortable en-suite accommodation, double beds, double glazing, television, internet and air conditioning. And taste our delicious breakfast in the tea room.
I really liked this place, it was really cute. I found it a little difficult to find and had to ring the number for the owner to appear but he was really friendly and helpful when he did find me. I do get lost walking down straight roads though so I think it may just be me! Just a tip for anyone as bad at reading maps as me, it's easier to access from the station side rather than from the street on the other side - the stairs are just opposite the main Sintra station building. The room was really clean and well turned out. They even left flowers on the bed which is a lovely touch. The bed was really comfortable and I slept like a baby. The bathroom was just down the corridor from my room and was a good size. They also cleaned the room on the second day which was nice of them. The breakfast was lovely and really substantial - providing an individual breakfast for each guest comprising of bread, meats, cheeses and jam as well as fruit and a cake. I felt really full for the two mornings I had it. As a lone traveller, I felt really safe both in the property and arriving back late at night. I noticed other reviews complaining about the big set of keys and having to get through loads of doors. For me personally, as a lone female traveller and particularly as on the second night I arrived back after 1am, I felt secure and comforted by the level of security. The only real negative I can say is that the shower could be more powerful, but that's quite subjective. I would definitely stay here again if staying in Sintra.

Quinta da Marinha hotel and golf course is an absolute dream destination for golfers and non-golfers. The area offers so many things to do, biking, hiking, horseback riding, surfing, eating and drinking you name it! The beautiful town of Cascais is only 5 minutes away driving. The staff was extremely helpful and big thanks to Manel, Francisco and Joao who made our experience with them perfect, and I look forward to coming back again, again and again, you guys are stuck with me! The hotel has recently been renovated, it’s very clean, stylish and beautiful with a great bar, outdoor area with a pool overseeing the 18th and 10th hole. The restaurant is great, so one area has a very nice dinner buffet, whilst the other area you have to book a table where they serve A la Carte, outstanding restaurant! The golf course does not have a single “boring” hole, the layout is simply fantastic and I enjoyed every shot at the course. The fairways are firm and the greens soft with the Bent grass type, very well groomed and the ball stays perfectly on line while putting. What a stay, looking forward to come back again next fall. Thank you.

In the Historic Center and next to the nightlife area of Cais do Sodre , we are 100 meters from the Bairro Alto and five minute walk from the Chiado. Our Bed and Breakfast is in a classified area and has been restored by the rules of art. Our rooms are comfortables, cozy , well decorated with a contemporary design, and also have views over the Tagus. They are prepared to receive families.
Very responsive, friendly and helpful- great location. Spacious room. Private bathroom located outside. Bring your own Toiletries as not much is provided. Note that there is an added tourist tax which is not mentioned. Thank you Caterina for your assistance.

The hostel is run by Carlos & Sandra. At a good price they offered us a trannsfer from the airport. The breakfasts were very tasty, we felt at home and not like in the hostel (real ham, chouriço, cheese, cottage cheese, jam). Probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever had at a hostel. Close to the metro and to the Pingo Doce market. Hostel also has disadvantages. The apartment is on very low ground floor. From our room window facing the corridor, so was the problem with the room airing. I felt that the room is damp. The locks on the door were very noisy. I think closing doors we awoke our neighbors The room was very cheap. For one night I could go there, but I wouldn't have stayed there longer.

I traveled to Lisbon with my partner. From a distance, the place did not seem orderly and calm. The location is on the edge of the immigrant district where African minorities hang out in the streets all day and don't care about order. Generally speaking, it was noisy and dirty in front of the building - piles of rubbish were lying right next to the neighboring tenement house. The quality and standard of the room did not correspond to our reservation - it was a completely different room than in the pictures in the advertisement. Upon entering it, we were greeted by crooked and dirty walls, stains and scrapes at every turn, especially on the carpet and in the bathroom. We had a view of the facade of the neighboring building and not the square visible in the pictures in the advertisement. The facility staff did not take us seriously from the very beginning, on the contrary, did not meet our expectations, pretended to be helpful, but practically did nothing to solve our problem. We were still sent to booking.com where booking.com referred us to the hostel owner. The telephone contacts given in the description of the reservation did not respond despite efforts to reach the owner. It was then that we found out that booking.com is an intermediary and is not responsible for the situations found on the spot. He can reserve another facility or return the cash only if the owner of the hostel agrees. After a few hours, the owner refused to give his consent, so we tried to change the room - all the rooms turned out to be occupied. I followed the cleaning lady into another room on purpose and found the condition as seen in the pictures from the booking page - then we felt very deceived by this accommodation facility. Late in the evening we got an email that the facility would change our room in the morning. we have not received more information than that. In the morning, between 10-11 am I went to the reception, but I did not find anyone. After waiting two hours for the receptionist, we went sightseeing. At 1 p.m. we got an e-mail that our gracious chance was lost because we did not report. After returning to the hostel and lively discussion with the receptionist, who did not contribute anything like the previous ones, we called and wrote to Tourismo De Lisboa. It is an organization that cares about the quality of services provided in Lisbon. The lady on the phone said that they could help us when we wrote an email. We did it, however, we did not receive any answer at all. Unfortunately we had to stay in this room. To this day, I can not believe where this property has so many positive opinions, if this is how customers are treated there. We intend to apply for cashback and compensation through higher instances.

Be very careful booking this place. This is a room in a private apartment where this elderly lady lives and falsely describes it as an Inn. There is nothing wrong with renting a room in your apartment but it’s misleading and deceptive when you describe it as an Inn which is a small hotel. Room very musty and only 15 meters ( 150 soft) . Some of the pictures are from the hallway and not the room. It was a terrible experience and waste of $200 per night. We left as soon as we could.
