Named after Abraham Lincoln, this state capital is a great place for children, history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts. Soak in the panoramic view of the city from the observation tower of the 400-foot high capitol building, whose white stone Art Deco spire can be seen from miles around. Then take a tour of the building and its grounds, where you'll find a Lincoln monument created by the same artist who sculpted the famous Lincoln statue in Washington, D.C. While you're on a history roll, visit the Governor's Mansion, whose Georgian Colonial exterior belies the varied architectural styles inside, and be sure to see the collection of dolls representing the state's first ladies dressed in their inaugural gowns. Kids will love the Folsom Children's Zoo & Botanical Gardens, where they can circle the zoo in a miniature train and see over 300 animals living among spectacular gardens. For some outdoor fun, head to one of the city's beautiful parks, the largest of which is Wilderness Park, whose hiking, biking and equestrian trails will keep you on the move for hours.

Anna, our server was awesome! Great recommendations and very pleasant service. I've seen several posts that The Green Gateau is expensive. I had the evening special which was blackened walleye. It was not only very good, but it was only $24. I felt that was very reasonable from some of the other restaurants that I've eaten at.

The atmosphere for in downtown Lincoln was awesome. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The customer service was excellent. I am a vegan and was satisfied see that they had a vegan patty and vegan bun for me. I am away on business and its always hard to find vegan spots, but this food hit the spot. The environment is warm and friendly. You can see them cook the food for you right in front of you if you like.

At Lazlo's Brewery & Grill, creative comfort food is our passion. Unique, flavorful beer is our tradition. And exceeding customer expectations is our mission.
Lazlo's is a Lincoln staple and they never fail to disappoint at the Old Cheney location. I would never hesitate to send colleagues there.
The service is good and so is the food, but nothing is mind-blowing. The menu is full of standards that have been there since the beginning, which is great. It would be nice to see them stretch a bit, try something new, be bolder.
But you'll always find something you like.

to The Oven Haymarket/Cellar, The Oven East and Himalayas. Our aspiration is to provide you with a delightful dining experience. You will indulge in cuisine of Northern India and Bhutan. Our dishes are rich in flavor, color, and texture. With family style dining we hope that you bring family and friends to savor some of the finest Indian cuisine.
I went to The Oven's Pioneer Woods location, which is relatively small. We had to wait at the bar for a while before we got a table, not too big an issue. I'd not tried Indian food before, and was really impressed at all the choices on the menu. Fortunately, I was w/ people who had a working knowledge of the cuisine, so chose salmon masala. It. Was. Delicious. The salmon and rice kept the masala from being too spicy for me, but it was close. I can't wait to go back and try a different dish!

Stayed at local hotel and walked over. comfortable inside and the barmaid was friendly, efficient, and engaged just enough to keep me feeling welcome. Guiness on tap is my call and I had the chicken fried steak, the caveat is that they use a ribeye! It was a cold and wintery night and this is definitely comfort food and it worked. great portions, presented well, fast, and hot. Moderate pricing, good call.

Creative comfort food. Hand crafted beer. High quality service in a casual atmosphere.
I was staying near by and the hotel staff suggested that I try this place.
The place was packed when we arrived and we were lucky enough to find a spot by the fireplace.
I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and had the fried walleye and everything was great. The fish wasn't smelling and soup had a great flavor.
My coworker ordered the prime rid for some reason and also asked for it well done. he was not happy with his dish but I wonder if he had ordered it cooked correctly if it would have been better. If you order any kind of steak well done you deserve for it to be just OK.
I will go back.

We love Vincenzo’s for a dinner for two. The service is always attentive and the menu has a great selection. The chicken Soto is a favorite and the manicotti is delicious.

Phat Jacks came highly rated and we agree with the high praises. The burnt ends were the best burnt ends we ever ate. They were moist and had great flavor. The ribs were moist and perfectly done. Brisket was excellent. The bbq beans were great. Service at the counter was great. The help was attentive and the restaurant was very clean.

Dish is an upscale American-Continental restaurant in the heart of Downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. Our attention to detail shines through exceptional service, and innovative, local, seasonal cuisine.
Another successful dining experience. Funny we all had steak and all of them were cooked perfect. We especially loved the beet salad and the desserts. There are no bad tables. The restaurant has large windows looking out to the street, it's very nice.

Blue, what has happened in 6 months? We just moved from the area and were in town visiting friends. We have ordered the same two items (and been adventurous and tried other offerings on the menu!) every visit for the last 5 years we've resided in the area. This visit, our long anticipated tuna towers were full of tuna pieces attached to the tendon that we could not separate. The food quality has suffered, but the caliber of service has plummeted.
The first service person was so rude, if she could have thrown our glasses at us without soaking us, I think she would have. Two of us ordered “no cucumber” in our water, and yes, we received cucumber. Our efforts to flag her down to rectify this, and for beverage refills went ignored.
Our second server repeatedly mixed up the names of the rolls we were ordering. The food arrived in “segments” and with awkward gaps where 2/5 people had their entire meal and 3/5 of us had not received any part of our order. There was a dearth of service “check ins” and this is most “un-Blue” like. It was impossible to flag anyone down for refills, extra napkins, sauce, etc. We visited on a week night, so while busy, not a weekend night when the place is typically packed to the rafters.
Don’t know what’s happened, but this is not the Blue we know and love.
