In this little and quiet village lies a nice restaurant. Itâs a little drive from Maastricht. If it is a sunny day you can use the terrace at the water. On the otherside of the water is Belgium. Relaxed atmoshere and friendly staff. Food and drinks are very good.

Enjoy delicious dishes in our à la carte restaurant 'In de Oude Watermolen' with its welcoming bistro next door. Our menu offers a wide variety of dishes, such as cave-aged cheese and Mergelland lamb. You can also choose the perfect Limburg wine to suit y
Stayed in this hotel restaurant for one night. Went to the bar-bistro first for a drink and appetisers. The glass of beer was almost more foam than beer. An unacceptable "head". The waitress did apologise after complaining and topped up the glass. The bitter ballen were small, industrial, half empty and the mustard came out of a cheap paper sachet. And all this in a 5 star Establishment. Very bad indeed.Contrary to this experience the main restaurant was very good although we had to wait a long time for the menu and breads. Excellent creative dishes which were very well presented and were delicious too. Professional staff. All well here. So, judged together, on balance: Average

For us always a place to come back, sometimes just to drink something and enjoy the view sometimes for diner or lunch. The food is typically "Limburgs" with an international touch. The food is great and the staff friendly. A nice place to start & end your walkings in the forrest.

We really enjoy this restaurant and we go there regularly. The food is really good but the only problem sometimes, is that it can be quite noisy. It really depends on which table you are. Anyway, I definitely recommend this restaurant, but don't forget to reserve in advance. As it isn't big, it might be difficult to get a table on the last minute.
Amazing restaurant, all details are well taken care off. You feel you are in the 19th century, winning and dinning at an exclusive restaurant, very nice.

Quite ofgten we go to this wonderful town in the deep south of the Netherlands, however for reasons unknown we neglected this hotel-restaurant, formerly known as "La Bonne Auberge" for over twenty years... The setting is still the same, it seems to be a kind of nature reserve as far as the eye can see, as nothing has changed, at least around the building. "Slenakervallei" changed, of course, the interiordesign, cut down on major and big names on the winelist, simplified the menu to common sense food (in the old days this place struggled to get stars and toques, but in vain). The food attracts a wider clientele, is pricewise far more abbordable (as are the wines). A good bet to have dinner or lunch while passing by. However if you're staying here as a hotel-guest I can imagine you run out of gourmet options on the menu soon. We had good starters and mains, the sweets rather cater for people who want to keep it simple and normal. Slightly overpriced for what you get, but then again it ain't expensive in the first place. So, don't worry go inside and dine.

Though not quite your intimate setting, the restaurant offers good quality and we were not hurried up by the staff. A very enjoyable place for dinner, if weather permist on their terrace which offers a splendid view. Suggestion, in case you like white wine: take the Gerardushoeve house wine (Johanniter), it's fairly good!!

A visit to the Atelier is always again a surprising journey along tastefully presented dishes with inventive combinations of first class products, accompanied by a fine variety of wines or non-alcoholic fruitjuicessappen. A warm competent service supports you through this wonderful experience. Five stars are usually only reserved for the perfect experience and this was one of those !

I visited this restaurant on a business trip. I dined alone. This is really a great grill resaturant. I had the steak (400gr). It was baked to excellence, the meat was very very tender. As a free starter I was offered a garlic soup, nothing wrong with it.compliments to the chef, I will be back !
