It was my 2nd time in this restaurante and confirmed it is excellent! We were 4 persons and choosed the surprise menu with 4 dishes You don´t know what you´ll get, but everything was very very good. Also the wine was served accordind the dish served.Very nice restaurante, nice atmosphere and a great couple cooking and serving. They are really excellent hosts! It is not cheap, but it´s a fair price.I loved it and had excellent food!
Fantastic view from the restaurant with gorgeous weather and expectation to have a fine lunch and try the local dish of White asparagus and salmon and hollandaise together with a good glass of white wine. These expectations were completely crushed by surprisingly reluctant staff. We were 2 people, who meet one waitress at the terrasse when we sat down. She was serving the other couple at the next table to ours.We saw two more waitresses going in and out from the terrasse during the following 10 minutes. Total number of customers at the time we arrived was 4. (with us 6.) Yet after 10 minutes waiting, we went for our self to get the menu. (one waitress served the next table to us, but completely ignored us). After another 5 minutes, we waived to one other waitress going in from the terrace, since the one service next table and that meet us when we arrived, did not look at us even for a second. She saw us and stopped for a millisecond, but continued. We were confident that she would tell someone, or just come back to ask what we would like to drink or at least to give us some communication. Nothing happened. Another group of 6-7 guests arrived at another table. They were instantly served with cutlery and glasses and menus. It became very clear that white people receive better service here. Finally, we went in after waiting for more than 20 minutes to order. Stepped up to the cashier where a couple of the waitress was standing and asked to order. The waitress that kept ignoring us told me to go back and she would come out to take our order because she did not know our table number. Needless to say, we have had it of waiting, so I ordered under a clearly unhappy waitress at the bar desk. Here colleague who stood next to here also tried to inform that they don't take order inside. I asked why they did not know our table since both of them we knew had seen us and we were only one of the 3 tables with guests. They suddenly remembered it and we received our wine shortly after. The food took extremely long time also consider this is the restaurant speciality accordingly to the menu. The quality and the taste was medium and absolute nothing we would recommend anyone to eat at that restaurant. Salmon not very well prepared and asparagus big, thready and lack of taste. Sadly this was our first impression, but we got some better experience of food in this area. We suggest finding one of the smaller pubs/restaurants in the town who has a much higher quality of ingredients of both asparagus and salmon from chefs that has eye and taste for quality. Price will also be lower and the staff is less clearly discriminating customers. This hotel and restaurant need serious management attention to avoid falling further.

Decided to have dinner here as we were planning to see a movie later that evening. We were quite happy with our meal. Took a beerstew (bierpotje) and it was wonderful! Exactly what we wanted. Good quality meat, good taste and even 2 diffetent potatoes dishes.Would have given 5 stars but the bread we ordered to start with was a bit too rubbery and after our meal we wanted some dessert but it seemed that the staff, which uptil now had been good, had forgotten about us so we didn't have enough time for that. Overall really enjoyed the food! Would come again!Thank you for taking the time to write this recommendation. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the food. We also like to thank you for giving us the feedback. We are working with our staff to ensure that our guest are able to enjoy a complete meal (and if wanted a complete menu) before going to the movie or theater, we are sorry to hear that we missed to manage this for you. We are looking forward to welcome you again!

the place is absolutely nice...especially during spring and summer, when tables on the nice outside place are palced and you can enjoy a lovely dinner outside.Food is very special...i would say delicious, especially prawns ad fish in general.Staff is very friendly and I would say also selection of wines is pretty adapt to the kind of food and the restaurant. The Chef is also the owner and the attention he uses to preprare every single meal is absolutely of a five star restaurant.Perfect location for a dinner with friends, with colleagues and with your beloved even thought not much privacy is guaranteed since the dimension of the placegreat

We visited this restaurant on a short weekend stay in Arcen and surrounding areas. This was the culinary highlight of our weekend. The restaurant has a young new enthusiastic owner who composed a great menu with well-balanced flavors. We had the Lobster menu and the day menu with wine pairing menu. We were very pleasantly surprised and would recommend this to anyone. Staff is also very friendly. Just a great place.

This is a place that has long been associated with food. âKwartelâ is Dutch for quail so â as the name suggests â quails were traded here from the fourteenth century until after the Middle Ages. And in the first half of the nineteenth century a mill stood
Venlo has definetely more to give than just fries and shopping. This nice spot remains on my top list of visited restaurants ever. Service was extraordinary and the quality and taste of the foods served were outstanding. We had the surprising 4 courses, once vegetarian. All courses were top notch, well composed and introduced at the table. Reasonable prices made our visit perfect. Thank you, we will come again.

We stopped in here driving back from Hamburg because it was just off the highway and I'm glad we did. This was a charming restaurant. Although the access road is bit tricky (go behind the petrol station not in front of it) there is plenty of parking. The decor may be a bit kitschy but I thoroughly enjoyed it. They had vegetarian dishes as well, and the portions were very generous. It was a very enjoyable stop. Although it is close to the highway, it sits down and off the roads in a very nice open park area.

I had a yummy pasta dish (Tagliatelle with mushrooms) for lunch at De Sevewaeg and a few nice drinks (local beers). I liked the interior, but it was quite noisy when I visited... On Sunday it seems to be a place where elders go play cards (and they get noisy :)). Definetely recommended!
