Whilst on a trip to Europe, my wife and I caught up for dinner at De Zoes in Helden, and were very impressed. The restaurant has been operating since 1937 and has been recently renovated to a city standard. The food was very good, well cooked, good flavours and textures, very creative presentation from a chef who has a great feel for modern cuisine. A huge selection of beers and a good wine list, coupled with attentive and professional service, in all a great night in a restaurant which the town should be proud to call their own.

We stayed in Baron Frits for three days, due to wedding of my dutch friend. Everything in this place was fantastic. Food in restaurant on very high quality plus veeeeery good breakfasts, level of services, attitude of owners and their staff, great accommodation. We felt realy like at home because of great hospitality. I recommend to everyone to take a walk next to the river after breakfast. When I will visit Netherlands next time, Baron Frits is the only choice.

Family restaurant that serves a great variaty of meal for lunch and diner. Dutch, French and mediterean dishes. Very old building, former butchery and farmhouse. Big terrace, heated when necessary. Playground for children
Enjoyed a nice outside dinner here with family and friends. The restaurant boasts a large covered terrace with heaters. Sun until late afternoon. and a small playground for little children. The three course menu was ok and came with a nice amuse. Overall the food was ok but not very memorable, except for the (cold) fried bitterballen. Service was fast and professional.

What you see is what you get. Not over pretentious. Close to a wonderful hiking area this is a Great place for a lunch and a Belgian, Dutch or German beer. Friendly and swift service. Not too forget great chats with other guests. Dog and horse Friendly. Good kitchen. Lovely icecream coupes. And did I mention reasonable prices?

This restaurant is situated in the small town of Kessel where you can walk along the river Maas and enjoy the excellent views. The restaurant is nothing special but the food is tasty and the owner very friendly and helpful. This creates an excellent dining experience.

Perfect if you are into toddlers and like quirky Austrian dresses on Dutch waitresses. Loud, unorganized and near average food. Good beers. People changing diapers on the next table. Parents running after their offspring. Don't get me wrong, it's crowded on a sunny day. Has a playground. Mass can't be wrong. Just not for me.

We went there on easter monday for dinner and this choice was good. The food tasted very well and was prepared to perfection. A 3 course meal for ⬠26,50 brings a smile to the face, especially for this quality. The staffmembers that served at our table was friendly and easy to work with. When in Reuver a good place to eat!

Called in on Saturday morning for a coffee. They didn't have croissants but offered a superb apple pie which I had warm with one of their scrumptious ice creams.Service was prompt and very polite - and fortunately for us they spoke English too.A great place - I understand that it only opened in April and as will close later this month for Winter.Highly recommended!!
