The location is excellent, rural and away from the busy roads and towns but still close enough to the highways if you invite friends or colleagues from other cities. Very suited for quiet dinners. We were only in Belgium for a few days and normally the restaurant is closed on Monday but after a phone call we could book a table for the four of us without any problems. We were still a few days away from the opening of the wild game season but they already had some delivered so we had deliciously prepared venison. From the location, to the service, interior decoration, garden, the quality of the food and the wine everything was just perfect. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

Started out with some drinks, but immediately found out that the "normal" price for a Karmeliet wasn't normal, since it was only a small glass..Then we got the menu + the specials of the month... My friend and I both wanted to take something of the specials menu, but they informed us that it was sold out... it was a chalk board... Wipe it out so you don't confuse people!!We made our choice and waited for the food to arrive.. I went for the surf and turf, lobster with steak... My god, how tiny that steak was, and only half a lobster!!! I have to say it was all very well prepared and the dish was delicious, but I was still hungry even after I finished all the fries.Went for dessert of course, because I didn't want to go home on an empty stomach..I was well impressed by both taste and presentation.. So we ended on a high note: the carpaccio of pineapple!

Nice vintage-styled cocktail-bar with great (duh) cocktails, friendly staff/owners and great (FRESH) food. Recommendable. The punch-bowls are a great and well made item on the extensive menu when you're with 4 or more...or when alone and just want to get drunk like a parrot on a bike I guess :)
