Lima, founded by Francisco Pizarro in 1535, is a fascinating city and a treasure trove of history. Explore ancient Incan archeological sites, or stroll through the elegant cathedrals and opulent palaces dating from Spanish colonial times. Downtown Lima is crowded, but you'll enjoy exploring the city's neighborhoods—especially the beachfront areas, which have great shopping and dining and fabulous hotels.

We just got finished with our stay at the Belma and it was great. The value you get for the price is unbearable. Niko was super helpful at the front desk and gave us recommendations on where to eat and shop in the area. Miraflores is a great area to walk around and we felt safe the entire time. Our friends needed laundry done and they arranged that as well. For breakfast they made us a delicious crepe and had bread with avocado as well. The rooms were huge for a bed and breakfast (we stayed in a king) and the shower was great after a long day of walking around.

Secondhomeperu embodies the spirit of Peruvian culture combined with the tranquility of the Pacific. This majestic guesthouse with five bedrooms/baths is nestled conveniently in the heart of Barranco, Lima's arts district. Once home to the Peruvian sculptor Victor Delfin, to enter Secondhomeperu is to enter an artist's imaginative world, replete with its creative works. You do not need to search far to find the seedlings of inspiration; they abound in the gardens, terraces and Pacific views of this historic Tudor mansion.
100% recommendation for the utterly exquisite and charming Second home Peru. I have stayed in many beautiful places in my time and Second home is up there with my favourites. I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a 2 week trip to magical Peru. Second home is absolutely beautiful, tranquil, classy, stylish, wonderful rooms and grounds and very friendly, helpful staff. The photos do not fully do it justice, you must stay to see and feel the comfortable environment and feel the wonderful energy of this place. I stayed in the suite with an ocean view, which was gorgeous, light, airy, spacious, spotlessly clean and relaxing. The house itself is stunning, stylish and classy, with artwork everywhere by Mr Victor Delfin who I had the pleasure of meeting. I also had a tour of his gallery with his daughter Lillian. Mr Delfin is still working and the pieces of art are outstanding . Barranco is also a fabulous place to be, safe, friendly and ecletic. A very big thank you to all of the staff and to Carlos (Mr Delfin’s son) for his time and patience in sorting out my room when I had problems with my debit card and for his recommendations for places to visit and eat; and to Lillian for showing me the gallery. And to Luis who was an amazing host and the lovely lady who kindly cleaned the room and the young man who helped me with my bags. I have absolutely loved my stay here and I am very grateful to have had this extremely fabulous experience in Second home. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Elizabeth made our stay amazing, when my husband was ill she helped us write down his symptoms in Spanish and let us know about a nearby emergency clinic that took good care of us. The building was clean and immaculate, and the hot water so so nice and refreshing. Compared to some of the more expensive hotels in Lima, the services this B&B offer are better. The breakfast was nice and quaint, and there was a real nice atmosphere there. You cannot go wrong with this B&B. Conveniently placed in the middle of Barranco.

We stayed at the IFE boutique for 3 nights with our extended family. Its a comfortable, family style little hotel in the heart of Miraflores. The rooms are comfortable, clean but not luxurious. This is a small hotel so that staff are all very friendly and you have the experience of staying in a boutique place. Some of the rooms are a little small (the ones of the ground floor). The ones on the 1st floor are larger. They have a basic breakfast. Again, not a massive buffet but it was ample options for our needs. All Miraflores highlights are within 10 minutes walk. I would recommend this hotel for people wanting a slightly different experience from staying at a large hotel. We have a lovely stay.

No hot water, also not centrally located. You should be able to find better accommodations in Lima. It was reserved by our travel agency and we already notified them about it. Also there is a weird smell in the rooms, they moved us to another one that was a little bit better.

"Far from being a hotel" *As per an insightful guest.
I cannot find words big enough to express my gratitude for wonderful time I've always had at AUTOR. For years it has been my favorite hideout in Lima, Miraflores. It is not just a hotel, it honestly FEELS. - LIKE. - HOME. Guys, seriously. This is your place. If you want to live in the heart of southamerican capital city but at the same time you like to stay in connection with southamerican history and andean spirit - please, please, please book a room in AUTOR! Breakfast was wonderful, tasty and fresh, served by kind people with smile and politeness. Morning peaceful time at AUTOR was always perfect way to start a day! The hotel itself is situated in a quiet courtyard with closed gate and security, which makes you feel safe at every hour. 2 months ago they even opened a small restaurant within the same courtyard just opposite the hotel, so you can grab some seafood or other peruvian dish without even going out of the secured area. The hotel is full of stylish decor, very inspiring, packed with precolumbian pottery and andean artifacts. Some of the rooms have balconies, additionally there is a nice terrace for everyone at the very top of the building. The owner is the nicest person you'll ever meet, always ready to help, genuinely concerned about his guests. His positive attitude is reflected by each member of the staff. In my opinion this is called true professionalism and deserves recognition- you can't always buy that , even in expensive chain-branded hotels. If you like to get a better insight in the history and feel atmosphere of this magical place, either if you're exclusively in Lima or if it's just a stopover before heading further to MachuPicchu - you have to pay a visit in AUTOR. You know what they say - Once AUTOR, always AUTOR :)
