Reviews on Soups food in Rapallo, Liguria, Italy. A port city of about 30,000 on Italy’s Ligurian Coast, Rapallo lies on the Tigullio Gulf about 15 miles southeast of Genoa. The 16th-century Castello sul Mare (Castle-on-the-Sea) is Rapallo’s most prominent landmark, sitting as it does smack in the harbor. The sixth-century Basilica of Santi Gervasio e Protasio is also worth a visit. For a real treat, take the bus or the funivia (cable car) to the sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Montallegro (Our Lady of Montallegro), which offers stunning views.

We were recommended this restaurant and the food was amazing. The mini seafood degustation was delicious but the service was a little offhand.

The old restaurant where plaster and wooden beams a glimpse of the original features, has been transformed into a stylish restaurant, thus creating an atmosphere which is fully reflected in the cuisine that is offered. Our gastronomic follow the seasonal
The location is good, the outside seating area in a narrow street, overlooking the old town gate Porta della Saline' is charming. They serve various antipastas, first courses (several pastas) and second courses (a wide variety of fish and meat menus). The quality of the food is really good.Prices are maybe slightly higer than the average in central Rapallo, especially for wine.Service is okay, no complaints.

Mario opened his cosy restaurant in 1963; for over half a century, he and his family have continued cooking and serving good simple food from the local traditional cuisine. Open air seats welcome guests in summer.
Not a fancy restaurant BUT a perfect trattoria to have fresh Italian mediterranean food. We had a lovely dinner served by the owners. Delicious dishes cooked extremely good, very good wine selection, amazing atmosphere and everything at a very reasonable price! Thanks to the owners and all the staff.

Having been told about the Trattoria we decided to turn up 5 minutes after they opened. All but one table had been pre-booked. All the customers were Italian except us the food was brilliant. We ordered ravioli with cheese and walnuts. An unusual combination but superb. I ordered Troffe ( a type of small pasta) with scampi and saffron sauce. Very yellow and very tasty. My wife then had veal rump with courgettes in a masala sauce which was absolutely gorgeous. I had a plate of grilled fish with frittata and grilled veggies which was so sweet and fresh. The portions were exceptionally generous so didnât have a desert. The whole experience was superb and by far the best meal of our holiday. We will be back in 6 weeks.
