Reviews on Pizza food in Monterosso al Mare, Liguria, Italy. The last of the five villages along the Cinque Terre strip, Monterosso al Mare is the most visited, largely because it has the only sizable sand beach and the biggest hotels. Though it can get very crowded with tourists during the peak summer months, Monterosso is still delightful. The old town area, separated from the more modern resort area by the Aurora tower, is home to the ruins of a medieval castle and San Francesco church, which houses an important Van Dyck painting of the crucifixion.

When we checked into our Airbnb we asked our hostess for a restaurant recommendation and she stated Barabba's was the best in Monterosso. We went that night and had an outstanding meal. The service was great and the food outstanding. We sat outside overlooking the beach! My wife had Mussels and I had the Speghetti with Seafood. Barabba helped us pick out a local white wine that paired perfectly. We liked it so much that we went back two nights later and had as good of an experience as the first. Our service was top-notch. Even better, Barabba's stays open later than most restaurants, so it is great to get a later meal. We loved this restaurant!

Founded as a take-away pizzeria La Picea also offers a thirty seats (internal and external)It 'also famous for typical food, infact here you can find Farinata (chickpea flat pizza), focaccia al formaggio( typical white pizza), lasagne, vegetable cakes ...
Seems like we were an inconvenience with our waitress with that nasty attitude that italians can sometimes get. It seemed like we were causing her too much work! Unfriendly service. The 'signature pizzas' are pricey in comparison to others on the menu, but I they are good not doubt. The place was busy and I found our pizzas to be cold when delivered by another waiter. I will have to say that the pizza is very good, but with the service and attention that we received.... I can do without that part of the experience and will make me think twice about coming back. I ordered the prize winning Gola Pizza which named as an ingrediente crushed pine nuts.... I saw only a few.

My family from Sicily makes a similar fritter made out of Chick-peas called Panelle. The difference being we fry this into a fritter, serve it with fresh ricotta on ciabatta bread. La Pia and the north of Italy bakes this like a pizza and it too is simple yet delicious.

The pizza was really good with fresh ingredients! We had two different pizzas and both were fantastic!! The staff are pleasant, helpful and friendly. The service was fast and the environment is wonderful under the shade of trees! A great place during a sunny warm day to grab a bite and look out at the bay. Highly recommend!

Thrilled to have excellent gluten free choices. My husband and I went back the next night and ordered the same two pizzas and were not disappointed! Even had a GF beer!

You can book for an inside table (air conditioned), or get there early or wait for a street table. We booked an inside table, but when we got there at 19:30, there were street tables available, so we grabbed one. There are seats available while you wait and by 20:30 there were 4 couples waiting for perhaps 20 mins each. Not sure why we all want to eat on a busy street, but we do.All the food we saw looked lovely. We decided on a pasta - fest. We shared a house special - slices of pasta in a pesto sauce. One each would be too much unless you are really hungry. It was gorgeous and we cleared the plate. Then we both had the seafood ravioli with shrimp and sea bass. We washed it down with a carafe of the house local red (not subtle but very quaffable). No deserts for us, but I finished things off with a double espresso and a pine nut liquor. The total bill was â¬71. The service was slick and friendly.Superb.

The newly opened M.G.Bar located in a side street, very characteristic of via Roma, with tables outside to dine in peace meals, breakfasts, cocktails at reasonable prices .
I visited MG bar for lunch with my husband and a friend while on vacation from North Carolina. The employees there were very warm and friendly. They even helped me practice my Italian! We had pizza and pasta with pesto. Both were delicious! Definitely worth visiting this bar!!

La Taverna Friendly Restaurant, great service, friendly staff, high quality cuisine, where you can enjoy excellent fresh fish and seafood.
We tried this restaurant after a recommendation from our hotel. Based on other places we ate, this was just average. They appeared to be understaffed and there was only one waiter responsible for the entire inside portion. It took over 10 minutes to get someone to notice us and put in a drink order. Then at least another 5 to 10 minutes to get our drinks (just a draft beer and a spritz). We ordered 4 oysters which I donât recommend. They were very small and my husband and I both felt queasy later in the evening after eating. We both had the spaghetti with seafood in aluminum packet. It was ok but limited amounts of seafood compared to other places we ate. In summary, there are better places to eat in the area.

Really delicious focaccia and cheese filled fry bread. I would eat this every single day! We also ate the chickpea flatbread which was very good. A must if you are in Monterosso.
